You have ******* skywriters, and yet still complaining about no free speech?
I heard how much they cost. I wish I had that sort of cash lying around.

Are you lumping me in with people voting no? Even though Im voting yes.

You seem to struggle with defending your position and resort to insults a lot. I assume you are an angry school kid?

Why so angry when nothing actually matters?
Lol
I,like many people whom have obviously reasoned that fairies, unicorns,Santa,Jesus,Muhammad,Thor, medusa etc did/do not exist because, there simply is "no" evidence for them historically except the silly and fanciful fairytale books and supposed revelations, holy(lol) texts etc etc and in the minds of believers whom I equate to simply being mentally ill, somehow justifies or equates to me not believing in anything or believing that "nothing actually matters" because, physics has substantial evidence for the fact that the universe was created from nothing and that life is inevitable and not because of a big omniscient uber galactic supernatural supvisor like what I'm assuming is your belief.
In other words, the universe wants to kill us,does not know we exist and couldn't care one iota about us,yet we prevail, just as many other highly evolved virus' do,despite the enormous variable conditions we compete against.
It is my contention that you and those like you are mentally ill,or delusional or have been brainwashed by your school, family, community or congregation.
There is far greater evidence for my belief based on empirical evidence than anything you or your brethren could ever supply or I would simply ask you to prove it,which you cannot, because,it does not simply exist!
I do however regardless of your banal, asinine, ridiculous assertion that I don't think anything matters has been dealt with in numerous other threads about god, creation, atheism, evolution etc etc on this board.
PS you are an idiot!
PSS did I stutter,do I make myself clear?

VOTE YES
Unless of course you are a small minded bigot or uninformed, uneducated, unevolved lower primate than what that rest of us currently are!
Actually,I believe in LOVE!
Yep,love,there ya have it,love!

Curious, has anyone on here changed their views or possibly even just softened on their stance either way on this matter since the plebiscite was announced
Yep.

I thought the no camp were just misinformed.

Turns out they are just stupid.
Can always inform, not much we can do about stupidity.

I'll so no. I was always going to vote the way I have, but I respect others opinions. But my original view that many people on the 'yes' side are intolerant of any other view has been confirmed.

  • violent, aggressive protests, people telling others what to think/do (shades of Brexit and Trump.
I think the kind of behaviour from the "Yes" camp has significantly damaged their vote and the polling has it 55/45 yes/no you can bet your bottom dollar this is understated due to people being unwilling to put their views forward at risk of being harassed / shouted down.

I was originally not going to vote but the way the Yes campaign have carried on had made me more likely to vote No.

Safe schools are a bunch of dangerous extremists who the "yes" camp should be distancing themselves from at a rate of knots. Will definitely cost them votes.
it doesnt matter 8 year old - what you were born with... you can be whatever you want to be...

Labor had two mandates to sort out same sex marriage and Bill Shorten said no. That includes Penny Wong.

Personally marriage is a different animal now. Gay people can have kids. Gay people can have a civil union. Heterosexuals cant have a civil union. Then again, I don't see the point of marriage as people have kids out of wedlock now.

Personally, I don't see any reason gay people not get married in the watered down version it is. Gay people would however be naive if they thought there no politics in play here. They are being played by pro SSM parties who said no prior when they were in office.

Apart from a different piece of paper, what do SSM families gain out of the different piece of paper?

Religion is at best a couple thousand years old. Marriages goes back much further. I'm no scholar but I've done a little research. The information is readily available.

Unless you're a bible literalist and think the world is 6000 years old. Then we're at an impasse.
The jewish version of marriage goes back 1000s of years and has been the basis for what we in the west consider marriage. Even germanic tribes of 2000 years ago had a version of religious marriage. The definition of marriage has been set by time, a long time and culture. The rabbi's main point was we want to now change the definition which isnt necessarily gaining equality.

What behaviour? Pointing out bigoted opinions are bigoted?

Marriage then has very little similarity to marriage now. Even if it did, that's no reason to not change.

This is the fundamental flaw in the focus on the No campaign. It underscores how they are either misrepresenting the issue or don't understand the reason why most people will vote Yes.

The battle over privacy and what someone does in their own home was settled long ago. Homosexuality is now a social norm.

This is a battle over the rights of those gay couples to publicly declare & commit to their relationships in the same way non-gay couples can.

Voting No isn't going to push gay people back into the privacy of their own homes.
I think you misinterpret that he doesnt mean that literally per se, he would probably say the same about a hetrosexual relationship.

Absolutely, im intolerant of stupid arguments and people trying to retain their religious definition of marriage in the Marriage Act.

Im more than happy for you to express your view

What polling says 55/45?

What a load of rubbish in regards people being afraid to voice their NO opinion. Most polls are conducted anonymously.
