The double BP rules are dumb.
Seems like the bulk of this QLD team is scarred from their BBL choke

I think if you get the runs in 25 overs or roll them for half your score it's fair enough to get 6 points.

Does it matter that much? Even if SA win tomorrow Vic probably overtake them with a win on Sunday week. BP win tomorrow probably only thing that would impact that.
If Tassie win they'll also be in the conversation.

He's probably the best opener in List A cricket post Warner/Finch in Australia IMO. If he's in your best 11, what does it matter if he's a specialist in one form?
I assume we're ruling out Daniel Hughes because of his age?

There was only 4 in this QLD team that played in the BBL final (Heazlett, Bryant, Bazley, Peirson).

Brisbane losing to the top side away is hardly what I'd consider a choke as well.
From the position they were in, it was absolutely a choke.

Looking forward to this one.
Should be a belter.

WA a bit skinny in the pace bowling I think.
Tye opting to play in the PSL is a worry.

SA squad: Wes Agar, Jake Carder, Daniel Drew, Henry Hunt (c), Spencer Johnson, Thomas Kelly, Jake Lehmann, Ben Manenti, Nathan McAndrew, Nathan McSweeney, Harry Nielsen (wk), Liam Scott, Henry Thornton

WA squad: Ashton Turner (c), Cameron Bancroft, Jason Behrendorff, Hilton Cartwright, Cameron Gannon, Aaron Hardie, Josh Inglis, Joel Paris, Josh Philippe, Corey Rocchiccioli, D'Arcy Short, Charlie Stobo, Marcus Stoinis

Yeah na.

The Scorchers best side all year.
Nobody is denying that. However Brisbane had two new bats with 3.1 overs left and over 12 an over needed.

Choking isn't just being the best team all year and losing the final. It can be being in the best position in a game for most of the day and losing it at the end. Which is what happened to Brisbane.

12 an over isn't that hard a get, regardless of the batsman being new at the crease.
They were batsmen as well, not tailenders.

Granted they were in a good position, but not one where they couldn't/shouldn't lose.

Was just a great game of cricket.

They should have won that game. The Scorchers (and , Connolly in particular) did very well but Brisbane should have won.

IMO, a choke is the final when the Stars lost to the Renegades.

The game ebbed and flowed and the Scorchers were a bit better when it counted.
Brisbane had the upper hand when Turner was run out, but the Scorchers bat deep.

Let's agree to disagree on this one.

Yes, that is also an example of a team choking.
