Scored a mountain of runs for grade cricket in the last 3 years for Parramatta in sydney.

Won the grade cricketer of the year in sydney last year.

Should have played more shield last year but NSW didn't pick him until last game because they preferred edwards and sangha who were younger.

Was going to say I clicked on the scorecard to see who he was and surprised NSW debuted a 26 year old. Definitely not their style. Those players usually end up in Tassie to get a go.

Great run chase by Queensland. They look up there with Victoria and WA. Will be a thrilling one day series.

Definitely shouldn’t have been dropped. Averaged 63 in the home summer as a 20 year old and hasn’t played a home test since. Only averaged 29 in the away series against India but was our second leading runscorer apart from Smith. Did have an average 2 games in Bangladesh as well. But when you have a kid do so well you need to back him in instead of dropping them as soon as they have an average series.

Considering how the openers have gone since (Bancroft, Harris, Finch), I think it’s proven to be a bad decision.

Spot on. Will never get over how many people were already calling for his head following that Bangladesh tour even before the shield season where he went on that lean run. One of them is our coach now...

From his dismissal, it looks like Handscomb has adopted the big back and across with the open stance like Steve Smith...except he misses the straight ones.

Victoria complete an amazing comeback, winning by a run whe Tassie seemed to be cruising it in.
Not sure about the LBW decision for the last wicket, tassie bit stiff on first look

Vics only win due to the bonus point rule, so big tick for that rule. It would otherwise have petered out into a boring finish with Tassie winning by 6 wickets with 9 over spare. Dunno about the LBW decision but sometimes you make your own luck. Amazing stuff!

Nice going from the Big V. (or with the new crappy uniform, the white line with some sponsors name)
Nice comeback from Sutherland 53 & 2/43, looks a good future prospect to replace Stoinis & Marsh.

4/172 (and 5/181) chasing 186, bowled out for 184, lose by a run.

That's once in a generation type collapsing
A Melbourne Stars worthy fail ;)

Just saw the highlights, that is one of the most staggering chokes in a cricket game you could imagine. Shows what disciplined bowling an do in those situations though.

Disciplined bowling? They needed like 10 runs off 80 balls and then 4 batsmen in a row get caught on the rope trying to slog wide half trackers, it looked like match fixing.

They were trying to get there before 40 overs to get the bonus point.

Is Doggett injured?

Interesting move to open with Fergie and push Carey down the order.

Hopefully Agar doesn’t go for too many.
