Scored a mountain of runs for grade cricket in the last 3 years for Parramatta in sydney.
Won the grade cricketer of the year in sydney last year.
Should have played more shield last year but NSW didn't pick him until last game because they preferred edwards and sangha who were younger.
Hoping Renshaw makes a mountain of runs in the early stages of the domestic season. Looked by far the most capable opener we’ve tried lately and should never have been dropped when he did.
Definitely shouldn’t have been dropped. Averaged 63 in the home summer as a 20 year old and hasn’t played a home test since. Only averaged 29 in the away series against India but was our second leading runscorer apart from Smith. Did have an average 2 games in Bangladesh as well. But when you have a kid do so well you need to back him in instead of dropping them as soon as they have an average season.
Considering how the openers have gone since (Bancroft, Harris, Finch), I think it’s proven to be a bad decision.
From his dismissal, it looks like Handscomb has adopted the big back and across with the open stance like Steve Smith...except he misses the straight ones.
4/172 (and 5/181) chasing 186, bowled out for 184, lose by a run.
That's once in a generation type collapsing

Renshaw and Burns, if the former makes early runs, should be the openers for the first test.
Just saw the highlights, that is one of the most staggering chokes in a cricket game you could imagine. Shows what disciplined bowling an do in those situations though.
They were trying to get there before 40 overs to get the bonus point.Disciplined bowling? They needed like 10 runs off 80 balls and then 4 batsmen in a row get caught on the rope trying to slog wide half trackers, it looked like match fixing.
