No Betts makes this one an intriguing one for me - will hopefully give us a good look at guys like Philp and Honey in a specialist forward role (with the odd mid rotation), which is where they're more likely to see opportunity during the year. Would be great to find that young player who can slot into a forward pocket early and add some scoreboard impact.

Even though hopefully he'll play more hf/mid, love to see Cuningham in his preseason form of last year, getting 1 or 2 goals a game.

I would expect Fisher, Martin, Cuningham, Lang, Gibbons, Dow & Philp (perhaps even Polson) will rotate through the role Betts played last week - big opportunity for someone to jump out of the pack.

Agree with all of those, except your maybe in Polson. Can't see the coaches messing with his head any further by throwing him into a forward pocket now that he's been shifted down back.

Just realised Honey is only an emergency as well :( Hoping for a bit of mild calf tightness in one D. Lang.

Not a strong squad, both clubs giving the kids a go to see who wants it and missing some key players through All-Stars / injury

Missing from our best 22: Fyfe, Walters, Hamling, Pearce, Mundy, Hill, Tucker, Wilson, Hogan

Is Hill going to play this year? Have him on the short list for my SuperCoach.

Agree with your post by the way.

Yeah, hasnā€™t missed a beat all pre-season but being carefully managed. Heā€™ll play the 2nd pre-season game

How is Pearce traveling, really rate the kid hopefully over his injuries?
I donā€™t think even most dockers fans realise just how important he is to us, we s**t the bed the exact time he went down last year.

All we get to hear is heā€™s ā€œprogressing wellā€ and ā€œback early rounds.ā€ He should be back by round 3 at the latest but the club as a habit of telling blatant lies on these things

Hope he stays on the park, he is future AA quality

Both

But I think he may be out a lot longer than reported

I'm not so worried about his knee injury. The club have a responsibility just to get him right.
We have the talls to cover him whilst he is out.

Above the shoulders are a completely different discussion and I daresay I share the same concerns as you.

I'm really worried about his knee. Has chronic pain /fluid pattern written all over it.

Hearing Hogan is done for good, will probably be paid out. Docker friends of mine don't seem too fussed, any word out your way?

That is one I'd heard, there's also the one where he's back in 2 weeks. All kinds of rumours on Hogan, I'm sure some of it is true and some of crap but its impossible to tell which.

There is nothing locked in yet so all we can do is wait and pray by some miracle we don't lose any more talls in the mean time

I don't see it that way, but i'm no expert.
Just hope he's doing all of his rehab and getting his body in the post possible condition for his return.
