Why did Franklin move?Just all rumor. I'm pretty sure he's a happy tiger who's still on a good coin and winning flags so why move?

Why did Franklin move?
No.He basically wanted to move to a non-AFL state to get out of the spotlight and he picked the team he thought was most likely to win a flag, but considering the Swans competition was GWS, Brisbane and Gold Coast who were all beyond terrible back in 2013 it isn't surprising he picked Sydney. His main reason for leaving though was he didn't like the spotlight.
What utter crap.I'm sure the AFL has their fingerprints all over this, the Buddy trade is turning out to be a disaster for one of their Sydney love children so they need to find some other big name player to fill the void to try even some minor interest in their bottomless money pit again.
Did you watch last year? Martin absolutely won the game. And I don't think we win 17 without him, he had a direct hand in at least 5 goals.Norm Smith's are pretty easy to get when your team makes the Grand Final a few times and you are undoubtedly the best player of that team. Sort of like Melbourne of yesteryear and Nathan Jones.
Plus none of the Richmond Grand Finals were close. Had Martin not played they still would have won. The best Norm Smith's are the ones where the player turns the tide for his team.
Well that's embarrassing - Martin's signed till the end of '24...
That you know his name is enoughWithout looking it up though how many premierships, Norm Smiths, All Australians and B&F's did Polly Farmer win?
So you have no idea of the history of the game but you talk crud anyway. He is one of the very few players from the 50's I have heard of, and only because of his coaching career that lasted until the 90's
someone gets itWhat utter crap.
The AFL and Mike Fitzpatrick in particular were utterly livid when Buddy went to the Swans.
This is a well documented verifiable fact.
It's also a fact this so called 'story' was revealed by Martin's manager. Probably to raise his own profile.
Add to that, Dustin is contracted for 4 more years and is already 29.
He ain't going anywhere unless the Swans are prepared to pay big money and cough up a top 5 draft pick.
Not happening!!
I’m talking in 100 years like the Swans dude said. Can anyone here name the norm Smith/grand final award equivalent winner for the 1921 grand final?
That's how it's done on here. The guy's a bum. Most overrated triple flag triple NS medalist ever.
He comes out of contract in 4 years, so it looks like the stars are aligning for Sydney.Would love to have him in our team but the reality is we are at the very best, 2-3 years away from contending and I can’t ever see him leaving Richmond.
um they always doo... let us do beudwisier.. and let os scram.. and digging.. in..He comes out of contract in 4 years, so it looks like the stars are aligning for Sydney.
we all develop in a different way..carry has.. diMMa catch on the lock down.. Clark. ooh sing happy..That is one of the worst articles I’ve read.

Afl wont be played a century from now. humans will voluntarily upgrade their offspring with genetically superior beings that within a couple of generations will be more different from us then we are from apes. And thats the optimistic outcome. The pessimistic outcome is there will be a major nuclear accident or military attack Sending us back to the dark ages.In a century from now people will still be talking about Buddy, while Martin will have long since been forgotten about.
But we do and that's all that mattersAfl wont be played a century from now. humans will voluntarily upgrade their offspring with genetically superior beings that within a couple of generations will be more different from us then we are from apes. in either scenario no one remembers buddy or dusty.
I wouldn't go as far as no dusty no Richmond. Without him I still think 2019 happens. We'd still be one of the best over the last 4 years with a flag to show.Totally agree.
No Dusty>>>>>no Richmond.
Played with a corked leg v Collingwood 2019 PF, got flogged.
And that is why he wont be going anywhere.
