This isnt a comparison , maybe it can be called a clickbait headline but thanks for reading, and its not a sledge at Mason Cox. Full credit to everything he has done and hopes to do.

This is about the latest advert by the AFL on Mason Cox. I get that Mason is a good player but the advert is factually wrong. Hell you only need to listen to the first 10 seconds.

'when Mason came to us , NO AMERICAN player had ever played a game of SENIOR AFL footy''

If they are trying to say he played football in America, even the ad doesnt mention it. Basketball then '' I got a call to go to LA and try out for this ''AFL''

Matthew Sanford Wheeler born in California https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanford_Wheeler made his debut for Sydney in 1989

But I guess that doesnt count for the feel good story.

Factually incorrect and give Wheeler the credit

Was Wheeler an Australian citizen considering he moved here as a kid? That would make him an Australian born overseas playing AFL

Just think Mason needs to tone it down on Social Media and the likes. Getting far too cocky for my liking. Just needs to shut up and play. Fast becoming a dislike-able character the way he comments about every aspect of the game. Mate, you've been here for 5 minutes... settle.
