It’s the MRC chook lotto, but the umpire kept saying Rough Conduct so I thought he might have been reporting him?
A great effort from Mason tonight. Played a big part in our second half comeback by nullifying Gawn in the ruck. Again stepped up while Cameron struggled. Definitely looking like Cameron as a number 1 ruck without a quality backup isn't going to work.

I really think we need to keep Cox in the team regardless of whether Grundy comes back or not. He's been huge for us.

It's insane. A ruckman is allowed to jump and stick his knee in the guts of his opponent at the centre bounce.. Why was this any different?
I've been saying that for weeks. You should not tamper with our winning formula. It would be self sabotage to do anything which may upset the synergy in our team.
He has moved back past Cameron.
The only difference was that it was slightly badly timed…definitely a free kick but not reportable.

I actually agree. Cox a proven Big game performer and the energy he brings in games will bring the crowd into into it.

I wonder what Mason said to Max after the game, he was seen talking to him.
Should Fritcsh have been penalized for planting his knee in Murphy's ribs when he took that mark? If he had broken his ribs it would have been tough luck, nothing to see here. So it should be the same with a ruck contest

Loved when mason was headed to the bench for a rest and a bay of melbourne fans all stood up and were absolutely giving it to him, he simply gestured his arms at them to say "bring it on"

The rules are the same to some extent…. In cox’s case it was two actions. If he’d stuck the knees in at the same time as getting his hands on the ball then it would have been no free kick. But the ruck tap came a fraction for a second later. He just mistimed it.
I thought Cox played reasonably today. Ruckwork was fine (though was clearly beaten a couple times), kicked a goal, and was definitely trying to lift with the team towards the end. Pretty standard Cox performance all in all, just a frustrating day for the whole club
