I thought that the other week I saw a little thing in the thing Danny Wiedler thing in the Sun Herald that Mason said in response to fighting Hall something like are you serious he would smash me
If they're similar size and reach, technique and fitness will reign over a harder slower hitter. I'd bet the farm on BBBH. If I had a farm.

If Hall can really box then he should beat Mason easily and lets face if ever a bloked needed to be put on his arse its Willy, Baz had just better watch for the king hit while they are shaking hands.
I'd be going for Hall without a doubt. He's an Aussie and an AFL ambassador.

Hall should win if Johnny Lewis's opinion is correct, and I believe him. However if they really want to see a great boxing match between AFL and NRL then the man needed is Solomon Haumono. He hits like a sledge-hammer and Barry would end up in noddyland very quickly.

Id love to see this fight, also, I wouldnt mind a few fights in the off season between AFL players, Im sure they would be up for it, and its pretty safe from football injurys(heavily padded up of course)!

Get Hall in there against Solomon Haumono. He can fight. Willie is soft.
Even with Baz' eyesight he couldn't miss Willie's jaw - that thing must just about have its own postcode.
That would be sick!! Mason would win though i reckon. He also has a brief boxing history and his brother is a professional boxer. GO HALL!!

Be silly to put Mason in the ring agaainst Hall...the size advantage he has would end up a disadvantage. Wouldnt last 1 round and simply prevent other similar bouts. Big slow blokes with glass jaws make for very poor contests.
I dont mind the idea of Hall training and having the odd fight in the offseason though...cant see a problem as long as its minimum 10 weeks before each season starts.

BTW...never seen Mason in person but seems to me they arnt both 195cm...Mason looks considerably taller and needs to keep more weight on his frame than Hall.
Better off seeing the regular sized guys have the odd fight...has been some very good amateur play AFL and fantastic for training. Apparantly Stephen Powell ex Melb/Saints was lightning in the ring and Heath Black at Freo goes well. They're the types i'd wanna see rather than lumbering slow bigger guys.
