He's looking more then just a third tall.Settle down, wood is yet to play on a half decent defender.
See how he goes when he has a Talia or a Rance play on him.
Cant pay a 3rd tall 1st tall money, need to be reasonable.
Yep, can't argue with any of thatWaite gets 1 year, Wood 3 years, Daw 2 years and Petrie retire's along with Firrito.
And the likelihood of that continuing would get higher or lower as he enters his mid-30s?
if we make it.
Which part/s do you think won't happen?
Petrie won't be retired and I then believe Majak won't sign on. Spud I can take or leave.
Surely the club won't offer Drew a new contract, he's been terrible all season.Petrie won't be retired and I then believe Majak won't sign on. Spud I can take or leave.
Interesting end of season coming up
Drew needs to get out of the forward line and break the shackles Ruck, back, wing anywhere just get him out of the forward line for a while. I dont think we can win a flag without him firing.
Anyone think his form has slumped perhaps with doubts about his future? What's the point he can't jump no more. That's why he always has to try wrestle with his opponents.

I like it mate but who goes out in this scenario? Does he take McKenzie's or Mullet's spots? Firrito?I'd think about playing him in the 'Hansen role' (assuming Hansen isn't ready/fit).
Petrie has regularly looked good going back to stem the flow without a guy hanging off him, and we've played top footy with a tall spare back and have key fwd options to replace structure wise.
Waite, Brown and Wood can be the fwds, it may even work better - might be worth a shot and give a struggling Thommo more support.
Firrito would go out I think? Thompson plays the floating type roleI like it mate but who goes out in this scenario? Does he take McKenzie's or Mullet's spots? Firrito?
It would require a slightly different structure which I don't feel like we have a particular hankering for. I'd like to see it though.

Don't disagree, was just answering the question. Not sure who else would go out if Petrie went back.....Spud is still getting underrated. Take him out of the current backline and watch how much grunt or presence we're left with down there.
