Multiplat Mass Effect 2

Finished.

had 2 deaths possibly 3 I think. Miranda because during her and jack's fight I chose Jack and she was disloyal, Mordin for some reason even though he was loyal (:( )and Tali possibly died too. Oh well.

Spoilers:
Mordin is actually quite easy to kill even when loyal as he is classed as a 'squishy' character. The safest way to keep him alive during the suicide mission is to keep him in your 3 man squad until you need an escort for when you rescue the Normandy crew, then send him as the escort. A full explanation as to why can be found here: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/105/index/1121616

Yeah you need Full Paragon\Renegade to keep both of them loyal

I enjoyed all the DLC. The lair of the shadow broker is the best. You get to hook up with Liara again if you stay faithful.

Hooked up with Liara in the first game but was pissed at how she reacted to Shepard returning.

You mean this thread Ant? :p The PS3 thread was first so didn't want to do a search, didn't realise this was on the first page as well.

So there is DLC for the PS3 as well I take it? I think it mentioned something about that on the cover. Only 31% through the install :thumbsd:.

I think you get most of the DLC with the game disc?
Has all current DLC (apart from those crappy costume/kit things).

Well I played a few hours last night, the start was a little boring and there wasn't much action but it is starting to get interesting now. I'm guessing it is a long game as I really haven't got very far at all yet I have a shitload of quests to get through. I love how you can just cruise around to different planets.

I noticed a fuel depot so do I have to fill up or I run out of petrol and die?

If you run out of fuel you will eat into your mined resources. You need those resources to upgrade the ship and team. The game plays out differently based on what you've done upgrade wise.

They needed a feature where you could just hitch hike back to a refueling station. ;)

On a different note, **** Horizon is a bitch on Insanity.

This game is seriously brilliant. A fair way into it yet with still a lot of missions to do, and it is one of the best games I've played. I am glad this made it's way to the PS3 and hopefully Mass Effect 3 comes out on the PS3 from release.

i'll be picking this up after kz3's release from playasia when i buy the move gun attatchment (which is way cheaper from there) since this game is only 49 dollars which is nice. will probs pick up a few other cheapies in the same order too.

my fear is that i will start playing then get bored of the talking like i did in fallout3 which only lasted me roughly 2 hours before i quit from being bored on what was clearly an incredible game (as others have said).

the setting is more to my tastes in mass effect so hopefully that keeps me in like fallout3 couldn't.

It is.

More of a 3PS then RPG and dialogue system is more intuitive then the Bethesda games.

I wouldn't worry too much, the conversation sections in Fallout and Mass effect are chalk and cheese.

Fallout you basically scroll through a heap of scripted responses to an emotionless NPC, trying and get all the info you need. ME is far more dynamic, makes you feel like you're actually talking to a person rather than a robot.

That's before we even bring the interrupts into it:D

That's before we even bring the interr....

Sorry cut you short

The conversations are very well done in this game. Definitely feel like you are talking to a real person and something I don't mind doing in between missions. I am trying to choose the Paragon route first up, if I can be bothered playing the game again (because it is quite long) then I will be a Renegade. Sometimes I choose the Renegade option by mistake though.

Got them game a couple of weeks ago and it's the best game on the PS3, hands down.

You don't get any deeper than ME2 in terms of story. Absolutely amazing game in that right and to go with that, the gameplay itself is awesome.

The annoying part for me is I never got to play the first game. Find it baffling how they can release Mass Effect 2 on the PS3 without the first one already being there. Still great nontheless.

well that definitely fills me with optimism because it was one of the reasons i wasn't too excited about it, even if i was always going to buy it.

i'll be posting in here within the next 2 months about how amazing this game is no doubt lol

I didnt get this game at first based on the screenshots coz im not really into the scifi stuff.

But it was always getting such rave reviews an everyone seemed to love it so it was always in the must try someday to see what all the fuss is about basket.

When the steam sales came an it was such a great price i bit the bullet an grabbed it.

Soooo glad i got it absolutely awesome game.

This game being hyped up again got me in the mood for another play :thumbsu: - needed to play it again anyway since my current xbox doesn't have a completed save, so it was just a matter of time.

Decided to spice things up with some DLC. Picked up Kasumi and the Shadow Broker. Downloaded them on the infinitely shitty dial up connection i am currently cursed with, like a ****ing lepper. Took 3 ****ing days with the xbox turned on overnight, connection kept dropping out every once in a while too, just to keep me on my toes. I have no idea how people used to live back in the late 90's.

Quite liked the new levels (not sure the price was justified, but whatever), especially the banter in Shadow Broker. Liara and Sheperd working as a double-act to make jokes about Asari pee holes? That's more like it :thumbsu:
