Your loss should of just played the MP Demo. MP will actually help you get the better endings much more easily in the full game.

I have probably put in about a 100 hours into the demo. N7 118, everything unlocked, play nothing but Gold.

I tell you I will be starting on Insanity difficulty and after fighting 6 Atlas and Phantoms at once I don't think there will be much challenge left.

Insanities locked at the start isn't it? And requires one playthrough to unlock it? Although it's been that long since the first playthrough of ME and ME2 that I can't remember.

To be fair, you don't need to put in '100 hours' to the demo, at best, on the MP side you only need to put in about 2-3.

I guess it's a situation where if you feel you can hold out then you might as well so you get all the content fresh.

But if you're just so desperate for any morsel of Mass Effect then you'll jump right in head first.

It's similar to why I got into the Uncharted 2 and 3 beta's, because I was just dying for anything Uncharted related.

Do you have ME1\ME2 Characters to carry over for the 360? If so, makes the decision easy.

Everything you did counts towards the ME3 game. Otherwise a lot of the sub-plots are randomised. I.e who lived/died in ME2\1 to what you did with Conrad Verner etc.

Should I buy the collector's edition or not? Will definitely purchase 360 version as I have the other two.

In terms of in game content the only thing of worth is the extra squad member, but you can buy that off the market place if you really want it. I guess if you really like art books it could be worth it to you.

Thanks. Now I don't feel so bad for not having pre-ordered it (which I could still do at my local as they have copies left unsold). Too much junk around here anyway -- I'd read it once or twice and that'd be about it (same with the soundtrack). If all I'm missing out on is able to be bought on the MP then I'm fine.

Anyone know if its possible to enter your own scenario in before playing ME3? I lost a few characters in Suicide Mission that i wish i didntwant to lose (Miranda and Thane) and i no longer have ME2 to run through it again.

I killed Ashley and kept Kaiden etc but i want Thane and Miranda back.

Is it possible? (i guess i just will choose to not load previous data and it will randomize all those decisions etc)

Somethings it will let you choose others will be random. Who knows as to what.

Do you still have your local save files? Just pick up a copy of ME2 for ~$25, use a save file pre-suicide mission and make the right choices.

Multiplayer reminds me Gears, with the maps looking like Halo maps. I think I might renew my Xbox Live membership for the first time in about 6 months...

TBH the single player demo isn't much. It is basically 2 levels : 1st is very introductory and seems like it is for new players, 2nd seems it might be from later in the game, does nothing to ruin storylines (if youre familiar with ME2) and is very short (basically 3/4 firefights). It just gives you a taste of how controls and tech trees have changed etc.

Yeah nearly done with my 2nd playthrough playing Arrival, never played it the first time round. Wish I had more saves to to choose from but Mass Effect is a timeless game.

Ending sucks bad. Blow up the relays and the reapers die?

Um, we blew one up in that expansion pack, and it didnt just kill machines - it wiped out all life in the sector. And now we are ending with the Normandy drifting through space, waiting for the crew to starve? No explanation on the fate of the universe? Nothing? Just, no more relays, no more machines?

Bioware dropped the ball with this one compared to the first two, and I say this as someone who has played EVERYTHING they've made.
