Have just started playing ME2 and really enjoying it. Looking forward to ME3

Is there an equivalent style of game (ie. good 3rd person action with some RPG elements) but in a fantasy setting?

errrr Dragon Age 1 and 2... made by the same developers, BioWare.

DA2 is more like ME in engine, but it isn't as good storywise.

DA:O is the better game but the gameplay is not a lot like Mass Effect.

Cheers. I had thought Dragon age was a lot more in depth type RPG - happy to try DA2 if it is a bit more action-y

DA:O a better game than DA2 IMO.

And I'm a huge ME fan, so you may find you like Origins as well.

Play as a two handed sword warrior in DA2....charge in, hit all your burst damage keys, enjoy exploded enemies, wait for recharge.

I really don't get this need these days for developers to put multiplayer in what seems like every single game being released.
This is a game that doesn't need multiplayer.

Normally I love multiplayer but couldn't care less about it for this game. As long as it doesn't detract from the single player experience, I'm fine with it.

I'd say The Witcher is a better fantasy equivilent of Mass Effect, not that Dragon Age wasn't decent.

There is a link for people in the xbox beta for Mass Effect 3 which was for a private beta of the game. Looks like it may have been pulled though now as I've been unable to download it.


EDIT: Looks like someone stuffed up. Is missing animations, textures and music. There are pics floating around though now on the neogaf forums.

ME1 has a slow start...but what a story. Main Story line of 1 far outstrips the sequel
