EDIT: And apparently ME2 & ME3 are now backwards compatible on XBox One.

More excited for this than the trailer, free with EA access too. Pity I just cancelled my subscription after not even touching the thing for 12 months.

I'm the same. The CGI trailer looked nice but I found it kind of underwhelming the first time I watched it.

Watched the Initiative video second and that was really good. Watched the CGI trailer again afterwards and it makes more sense - though would have been nice to see some actual gameplay too.

I doubt they will bother now.
It's all backwards compatible on Xbox One.
The jump wouldn't be that great anyway IMO.

Hey, it was good enough for Uncharted.

But yeah, it might be too late now. ME1 especially could really benefit from a re-working.

Yeah probably not worth the time for Bioware now as only PS4 owners would fork out for the games again.


ME1 could for sure, feels a bit dated now.
ME2 & ME3 still hold up pretty well.

That looks awesome. Going back down the RPG path rather than just pure action.

As for a trilogy remastered they've said a gazillion times they aren't doing it as they want all their effort on Andromeda. They might after Andromeda but certainly not before.

They could have easily outsourced it to another house. It just needs updating.

They could have, but didn't and don't want to. I'd love to have a remastered trilogy but they have stressed no and that we need to move on from Shepard. Next quiet time in between game releases I'm just going to go through the trilogy again on PC.

Maybe I have missed something but why are there NPCs from the Milky Way races? I thought it was just supposed to be the crew aboard your ship scouring a hostile Galaxy.

They initially said they wouldn't do a remaster but their stance has softened over the past six months. It sounds like one is coming, it just depends when that is.

Maybe I have missed something but why are there NPCs from the Milky Way races? I thought it was just supposed to be the crew aboard your ship scouring a hostile Galaxy.

There were many ships that left for Andromeda, the ship with Ryder arrived later than many others, and seemed to get in trouble.

So I think other species have colonised some of the worlds.

I don't understand why this hasn't happened. Can only hazard a guess that EA don't want to open any old wounds over the reception of ME3's ending, really. A remastered set is money for jam.

I picked up the 360 games cheap recently and am looking to play the series again over my christmas break. Had a quick look at ME1 and 2, agree with Scaryness' assessments for those games! First game was showing it's age by the time ME2 came out, it was always hard to go back. Shamus Young's mostly excellent articles about the ME series have convinced me to give it another play through, though.

I never played ME1 but played ME2 on PS3 and ME3 on 360. Didn't finish either
