has more heart than krakouer and meyer combined so i have no doubt he will put in the hard work to make it happen unlike those other 2 who dont have a kg of muscle between them

He was still very good early in the year but I think he is becoming smarter and finding more possessions (always been a problem of his). His first few AFL games really highlighted his weakness where he runs so much that when he gets the ball he's completely buggered, so he's no doubt been forced to be smarter in his running because his disposal has seemed better (even in recent AFL matches). First couple of games there were a few shaky kicks with little penetration.

loved this kids work ethic from day 1. Hes only shown glimpses so far - but apart from his motor, his quick hands will be a feature, very smart player.



speaking of last years draftees, am i the only one who thinks Connors looked a little fat last week? Definitely didnt look in great physical nik...

but he does have that touch of class and is a clean one grab player. Needs some major conditioning though

Edwards will be a gun. There aint many 70kg first year players running around which shows the talent the kid has.

We have a selected an interesting team though with choosing all of:
Simmonds
Brown
White
Howatt
Edwards

This is only because the first 2 are coming back from injury and unless on fire (like brown last week) won't play any more then 60-70% of the game, while the other 3 have played in numerous games this year where they have had sub 50% gametime. Just interesting to note is all

ok exaggerating there, but he certainly looked about 7-8 kgs over ideal playing weight (my opinion).

Connors was actually dopped from Coburg seniors this week despite good form... maybe he is being punished for poor diet? You could be onto something with the weight thing.
