I have been watching so far.
Certainly makes you try to appreciate Jocks time but I genuinely feel he was becoming better and better from his debut. In fact, quite good amongst comparisons to the original trio really.
Contestant wise I'm feeling like this year is a bit of a snooze fest so far. Wife was commenting just last night there's no real front runner.

Good ending to the season.. pretty well expected him to win right from the get go. Whether or not it is fair, unsure.. if he'd spent a year or two planning for another crack it, might have given him some advantage.
I don't really think Rhiannon was the most deserving runner up but I suppose this is the luck of this competition, you might be better but you either slip up on a challenge that doesn't play to your strenghts, or in Declan's case, biting off more than he could chew.
Going to be different if another season goes ahead without Jock. Channel tens little tribute to him at the end was very well done.

Yeah, it is a bit depressing. He was an absolute character tbh and based on the tribute C10 did for him at the end, even as viewers we didn't quite see the real extent of it either.

There was a fair bit of talk about her clashing with other cast and crew, wasn't there?
My guess is she's been moved on because of it, but given the lead role of another show because she is more than decent in her role.

I suspect some people got their wires crossed. It seems like Oliver is just doing a guest judging role like he has done for a few years, and getting paid a packet to do so. Accordingly, with Jock's untimely passing, some people put two and two together and got five.

Andy Allen is a likeable bloke on screen but his food critiquing fell a long way short of his two colleagues. Leong has been a food critic for a long time and knew how to tell a contestant (nicely) when their dishes sucked. I hadn't heard the talk of her clashes behind the scenes.

For their part, Ten says that Leong was shifted to the new program and couldn't also judge on Masterchef due to scheduling conflicts.

He's better than what Mel offered which was nothing. What critique did she ever give? There was no critique at all, she just repeated what the others said. That's not being a critique that's following the leader.

I must admit I'm in the party of not really rating her. She only had a couple of things in her repertoire and it was a bit repetitive, always wanting to have some story attached to what they were doing etc
I also found watching her eat repulsive. Unsure why haha

My brother is the same, he was so happy she was sacked could not stand her either. Just felt she was too out there and added nothing, I get why they tried something new but she was divisive. She was extremely repetitive.

Found Mel a bit hard to like as well so don't really care. Jock was the big loss. As for Poh I couldn't stand her back in 2009 but like her these days.
I can confirm she clashed with the cast and crew. I’d say this is the main reason she has been removed from the show.
