You bastard.

Do not read this. It reveals info that is not to do with tonight's show, but a contestant eliminated in future.

Gah! Rage quit! :thumbsd::mad:

yes but the result that is given - does that include Lucas & Julia?
still an element of confusion reins

Absolute cardinal sin by Poh last night... fancy being eliminated with salt, pepper and garlic yet to be revealed. Once again a brain fade under pressure cost her.

Looks like the final five are heading to Hong Kong for next week's episodes, which makes Poh's elimination all the more unfortunate. Poh cooking Asian inspired food in Hong Kong would be much more entertaining than watching Sam continue to bluff his way through yet another cuisine he is absolutely clueless about.

Come to think of it, has there been anything that Sam has excelled at so far? I cannot think of a single thing, thus really hope he is heading home at some stage next week.

Justine and Chris are still the strongest left, but I think Julie has come into her own over the last couple of weeks and is looking much more confident under pressure. Of course she is likely to be thrown way out of her comfort zone in Hong Kong, so will be interesting to see if she has grown enough in confidence to handle this.

IMO the elimination order will be:
- Sam
- Andre
- Julie
- Justine and Chris making final with Julia and Lucas.

was the first person to cook off against a celebrity chef.

Sam looked really good in the first week. Won the first cooking competition and cooked off against the celebrity chef. I thought then that he would be one of the guns in the competition.

But since then he has stagnated. He had the alliance thing going with Kate and Josh and then when they were eliminated he has been treading water. IMO he has been lucky not to be eliminated before. I thought he was gone for all money when he left the olive pip in his dish. He dodged a bullet then, and also was lucky when the judges didn't send anyone home on one elimination challenge. I thought Sam dodged another bullet then.

He seems like a nice guy but IMO making the final 6 or 8 flatters him a bit. But good luck to him for trying and sticking it out, especially when he has just been married. Nic left after one week, so I give the remaining contestants credit for sticking it out.

I am still not sure who will go first out of Julie or Andre. Both are talented and there is not much between them. Like everyone else, I would think that Chris and Justine would sail through.

was the first person to cook off against a celebrity chef.

So in the entire season he has cooked one good dish... roast chicken with zucchini rosti. He won with this very basic dish, although IMO Kate's Goan chicken curry was easily the best dish in that challenge.

Pretty much everything else he has dished up since then has put him in the bottom three or just scraped him through.

Seems every theme introduced for a challenge would be followed by a short clip of Sam saying "Never cooked [theme] before, I really have no idea what I am doing". Most of the time he was right on the money too.

Sam looked like a contender at the start but you slowly learned that he had little food knowledge compared to the others.

I still believe Chris or Justine will go before the final, they will have to throw up some major twist to keep the viewers watching.

Are they trying to find a final 2 or 3? out of who is remaining now not including Julia and Lucas.

That is a good question.

Does anyone know how the final week works? How many contestants will be there and what will they have to do? Will it be live or pre recorded?

Please tell me, they will not wheel out all the eliminated contestants to fight to get back into the competition like they do in the biggest loser. Surely they couldn't stoop to doing that.

I'd hope they wouldn't sink to that level.

Although I wouldn't be surprised if there was something like a cookoff to get back in.

one more then Andre.

Julie to cook off against the celebrity chef. Thats great, hope she does well. I am not really confident she will win though. Besides, they probably need as many people as possible for the super challenge, so that lessens her celebrity cook off chances.

Good to see Lucas and Julia. Julia struggled at times under the time pressure. So even though they are getting experience at a top restaurant, they are not under the week to week challenge pressure that the masterchef contestants are, so that may be a factor in the final.

The show is a great advert for Hong Kong. I wonder how many people will travel there because of the show.

Really surprised Julie won tonight and will face off with the celeb. chef.

But she has REALLY stepped her cooking up over the last couple of weeks, ever since the Crockenbush pressure test she hasn't looked back. Really starting to hit her straps and doesn't seem to be getting as flustered as she used to in the contests.

Will be good to watch.

Was a pretty good episode tonight, did like the fact that Julia and Lucas returned and they didn't do the whole bring back someone who is eliminated. They were always going to find a winner to face the celebrity chef, I thought it would be out of Julia and Andre just because they haven't faced the chef yet.

Damn I have missed Julia being on our screens, I rate her higher than Justine to be honest.

The thing I kept wondering is if they synchronise the two challenges. There are two separate challenges, but they need only one winner for the celebrity cook off. They can't have no winner and they can't have two either. So one contestant has to lose to either Julia or Lucas, and one has to beat them.
So, I just wondered that if the pastry challenge was done first, once they knew that Julia had beaten the other two guys, Matt or Sarah rings George and Gary, so George and Gary knows that one of the other three have to beat Lucas. Or maybe I am too cynical.

On another point, how was the end of the challenge on the pontoon when they judging it. It was absolutely hissing down. I thought the dishes were going to be soaked when the contestants brought them out in the pouring rain. The atmosphere looked spectacular though.

Looks wise?

You are ****ing mad!

Julia looks like a balding teenage boy.

I've always thought Julia was very cute and I was happy to see her back. Seems to have developed a bit of an ego though..

Agree with the comment about Hong Kong it looks fantastic ; brilliant idea by the producers.

They were willing to have numerous people in the celebrity challenge, so it wouldn't have mattered had a few people beaten Lucas/Julia.

The issue i had was that on Friday they promoted the fact they had the 'best chef in Hong Kong' doing the celebrity challenge this week, so once Julia won, i knew that Julie was going to get over Lucas because they needed at least one to participate in the celebrity challenge.

Julia looks like a balding teenage boy.

....with big ears.

She seems like a sweet girl and i can see how some could find her cute, but she's not in the same stratosphere as Justine.

BTW The tanlines Justine has developed from wearing that singlet in Hong Kong are superb. :D

You could tell those comments were very much staged.

She was obviously very uncomfortable delivering them and they weren't even moderately convincing.

Julia is cute, Justine is bangin'. Thats the way I see it anyway haha.

Fairly comfortable win to Pak. Fairly predictable though. It would have been a bit rude to let the masterchef contestant win over one of the best young chef's in one of the most exclusive restaurants in Hong Kong.

Tomorrows episode looks like an absolute belter. Looking forward to it.

Even though one of the posters earlier let us all know what would happen :thumbsd:
