Wasn't there a vegetarian chef as well on the Australian version of 'Jamies Kitchen'? If I recall she had the same criticism about not being able to taste the food she was cooking .. Very valid point too. In order to create a dish that had meat, you could do it but you would have to follow someone elses recipe word for word and a trained monkey could do that.

As of last night, they are down to the final 20.

Hopefully now, as you say, the food will take over from the 'Big Brother' reality show style so far.

Looks okay in that shot, but up close she's got skin that Tommy Lee Jones would be ashamed of.

Despite this, the stuck up cow rarely goes an episode without telling us that she won a beauty contest.

She's actually not dumb but her voice gives the impression that she is.

As for eye candy...

They've hidden her ears well.

She's a nice 'girl next door' type and i like her, but i'm sure there are some who think she's very ordinary.

She's a good sort but they've barely shown her so far, so either she leaves the show early or she's about as interesting as a tea towel.

BTW Despite the wanky clothes, Matt Preston is brilliant and easily the best thing about the show.

today was definately Masterchef meets great British menu. this is more what i watch the show to see. but there still isn't enough emphasis on the food

good for that Sam fellow he didn't get the free ride through. would be a horrible disadvantage for him to miss out on all the learning experiences on the way to the final week

Exactly what I was thinking, sure it would be great to know your in the final week, but the experience he would lose would be HUGE, so much so that everyone else would just be leagues ahead of him by the end.

However he still did a great job to get very close to Manu's dish(Even though it did look a little simple), but he should be happy really that he will still get all the experience in the following weeks, plus the experience of going up against a good chef in Manu, as Matt(Wanky critic) said he is now about 3 notches higher than he was after that dish.

Yep.

The whole concept made no sense.
The premise of the show is to learn and mature as chefs and at the end, become Australia's first 'Masterchef', yet the producers saw the idea of a guy leaving the show and returning in the final week as a reward.

Bizarre.
