Missed tonights but I'm elated to see Josh go he's irksome and it's good to break up that trio. Don't mind Chris so happy to see he survived. Thought for sure he'd go after what happened to Brent.

And yes I don't like Kate at all..can't wait to see her go.

This is the one thing I hate about the show.

It shouldn't be about personalities.

Its not Big Brother FFS. Who cares what they're like so long as they can cook.

The contestants would have gone into the show thinking they were getting a hybrid of UK Masterched where it is all pure cooking. They didn't go in to get judged on what they looked like or who they became friends with.

Am i the only one sick to death of Kate?

She's a spoilt, immature little brat who throws a tantrum whenever she doesn't get her own way.
The quicker she leaves, the better.
She is fairly annoying, probably the most annoying thing at the moment is that she is going too much for the desert cooking, she isn't showing enough variety in her overall cooking, now I know she did say she wants to be a pastry chef, etc. etc. but this is MASTERCHEF, not MasterPastryChef, needs to show more variety or I think she'll be out of there.
I didn't mind Josh as a bloke, but he was probably the right choice to go home.
Yeah, was definetly the weakest of the lot cooking wise, didn't think that throughout the whole journey that he had shown a lot of quality and his falls with some of the fish dishes were shocking for a fish mongerer.
Hopefully Aaron goes home soon too.
Yep, all left now is Aaron and I think almost everyone else would be deserving(Maybe apart from Geni, haven't seen a lot from her).
Overall, i'm just glad Chris survived because, despite the chicken, he's shown that not only is he talented, passionate and intelligent, but he also showed himself to be one of the more entertaining people on the show.
Chris is good, however it was a cardinal sin to undercook that chicken, not only is it VERY dangerous, but he had PLENTY of time in which to cook it, just decided to stuff around too much before putting it in the oven.
:D

I picked those two out as the standouts during the first episode, so it's good to see others jumping aboard.

I hope both stay there until the end, but i feel that Justine has more chance of going deep, so to speak.
Yes, I too, would like her to go...deep.;)

All these channel 10 shows are the same.

As soon as they made it seem like the Red team were doing it perfectly and the Blue team were in a complete mess you knew the Blue team was going to shit it in.:thumbsd:

Josh has been annoying (i think he got caught up with Kate, which skewed his behaviour towards her immature, brat like antics), but he handled himself very well last night.

A very classy exit.

She does tend to stay in her comfort zone too much, and the shopping trip showed how selfish and self-absorbed she is, but my biggest issue with Kate is her constant 'drama queen' routine.

She cried, sooked and begged for her mum because people didn't physically embrace her when she returned to the house, then last night she acted like a family member had died when told Josh had been voted out.

I'm sure they connected but they were there for what, 3 weeks, at most? Yet she acts like the world is ending, then like the spoilt brat she is, demands to know who voted Josh out and why.

Hopefully she leaves soon, although i'm sure the producers want to keep her there as long as possible, because we all know tv producers eat up drama queens on reality shows.

Whilst it is a cardinal sin, i can forgive it because of the circumstances.

If he'd done it because he didn't know how to cook it, i'd crucify him, but the reason it was undercooked was because he had to spend a good chunk of the hour wet nursing Josh and Aaron, who were utterly hopeless.

If Josh and Aaron were even semi-competent he'd have been able to focus on his own dish (and leading his team), instead he had to waste time taking those two through every little step of what is a relatively simple dish.

Matt Preston said it was "one of the five biggest no no's in the kitchen"

I'd be interested to hear his other four...

so does anyone think the elimanated contestants might get a chance to get back into the competition?

How many types of cream did she get:rolleyes: Even the guy with her was making little comments about her as she ran around like a headless chook. Thank god for Gary who actually made something with her crap ingredients.

he also asked George how long the chicken would take to cook. he said 14 minutes, WTF IS HE ON AND WHERE CAN I GET SOME?

Tonights episode didn't do anything for me.

I don't eat Squid or Asian. They spent too much time talking through how to clean the squid, freeze it and you can clean it in 30seconds.

The squid and cauliflower dish was particularly unappealing. Fairly dull episode made worse by Kate's drama queen behaviour at the start.

After tonight's episode, i have a feeling that Big Tom might not be long for this show. :(

Ideally i'd want Sam out.
He's served up utter shit over the last week or two and has struggled with the pressure, and of course seeing him go would come with the added bonus of Kate throwing another hissy fit and begging for her mum.

I just can't see the judges giving him the arse this early, though.

They've invested a lot of screen time into him, have used him as a real mouthpiece throughout, and obviously want to keep the Sam/Kate alliance going in order to create friction come team challenges/eliminations.

Hopefully i'm wrong and it's Sam, not Tom, that goes home.

Trevor will go I reckon. The judges love Sam, whilst Tom is actually pretty good.

This big shock thing about the elimination will be that they don't send anyone home I believe. However I would be disapointed in seeing Tom go, they have finally given him screen time in the last few episodes. Tom and Trevor have runs on the board in the past which will hopefully keep them in.

The choices Tom had weren't that great. Pretty hard to make a dish out of Cheese I would think, however I am not a good cook. He also couldn't choose the Pastry as that would play into Kate's hands which is not good.

This was my bet as soon as they said it, I think it is simply because the 3 there aren't actually the worst in the comp so far, Trevor cooked a shit meal, he knows it, knows he should've done something else, but has shown good form in his cooking previously, Tom cooked one BAD meal, but did win the challenge before for a GREAT meal, good outweighs the bad and Sam IMO probably has the most potential, but has seemed sidetracked mentally over the last two weeks.

You're way off on the shock. I do know what it is haha.... but I won't spoil it for you. Let's just say you won't expect it.

Hmmm, how do you know? Got the inside goss huh?

Who would have thought Aaron would cook something decent.

Also Chris had me chuckling tonight sipping on a beer while everyone else was still slaving away.

If true, that's pissweak.

:D

Chris is a cracker.

Easily the most entertaining (and likeable) male on the show.

No spoilers, please.

That was pathetic, and i want my hour back.

They've constantly told us about how cutthroat the pressure test is, and how one person will definitely be going home, only to squib it and let them all stay.

The remaining contestants have every right to be pissed, as do those who have previously been eliminated at the pressure test.

It appears to me that they're going to do anything and everything to keep Sam in the game, even if it means changing the rules on the fly.

More 'FavouriteChef' than 'MasterChef'.

Pretty hard to split either of the guys tonight, and I think that the judges made the right decision. It's worth remembering when Nic decided he coudn't continue, that it did free up "an additional spot".

If Sam's in the bottom 3 again, he's GONE!

Yep was correct with what I said about none going home, they didn't want to kick either of them out.

How funny was it when Chris goes to Kate just before they are about to come back to the house "Are you going to turn into a crying mess again?" or something along those lines. The way he said it gave me the impression he wasn't joking around.

Onto the cooking, I hate sticky date pudding, one of my most hated deserts but the Toffee would be great. I can't get enough of that stuff, might try the recipe and attempt to make it myself.

Sam IMO probably has the most potential, but has seemed sidetracked mentally over the last two weeks.

Anyone else reckon he's boning Kate?

Man, he's got teeth like the Mask. They are massive.

Glad Trevor didn't go home. He's one of my favourites.

I think Chris will win, though. Unless they gun to vote him out. He's just such a Russell Crowe kind of prick. Perfect chef. :p
