That smile...........

You're teasing us now, HBF :(

i dont even like Sam

Haha

Every single time anyone criticises Sam you're there instantly to defend him (and try to deflect the criticism onto others), but you don't like him?

If you're that passionate about someone you don't like, i'd hate to see how hard you'd go if someone you actually liked got criticised.

so get over it.

Get over what?

Perhaps you need to take your own advice and accept others views about Sam rather than constantly trying to defend and deflect.

i dont mind repeating myself cause your obviously a little slow.

cause im sick of very 5th post being someone whinging about Sam being so lucky when other contestants have had luck as well.
.

i dont even like Sam or think his top 4 material

If you're (notice the difference between that and 'your'?) going to suggest others lack intelligence, you should first make sure your spelling and grammar is adequate enough to graduate from primary school.

And just to complete the lesson, it's 'should have', not 'should of', whilst it's 'he's here', not 'his here'.

Also, an apostrophe or two wouldn't go astray.

your offended, so i must be right....

You're, and no, i laughed heartily at the irony of someone with spelling and grammar skills that a 10yo would be ashamed of would be questioning someone else's intelligence.

Gee, if you're going to be a spelling and grammar Nazi douche, you'd think that, at the very least, you'd proof-read your own posts? Everyone can be a pedant, it doesn't prove much though.

I'll pay out on Sam, his constant smiling and happy personality gives me the shits.

Yeh but his bugs bunny teeth are hilarious.

And how many times must they ask "what does this competition mean to you"

Julie's answered that one four times now.

whats a 10yo?

nice grammar yourself :thumbsu:

Um year old? Pretty sure you'll find it isn't a mistake to use 'yo' as an acronym, nice fail though.
Your spelling is atrocious as well so I don't know why you would weigh in on their argument. You have far batter examples of it than the post I've quoted, but even in it you have no capitals and no understanding of apostrophes.

Can this NOT be some shitty Spelling Bee thread now...PLEASE!!!

IT IS A FORUM, WHO GIVES A **** HOW WHAT WHEN OR WHY ANYTHING IS SPELT?!!!!!

i obviously dont care about spelling/grammar we are on a internet forum ffs.

oh and if you could read you will find i was the one whos grammar got attacked in the first place

anyway back onto Sam's massive chompers....:D

Does anyone know the format of the final week? eg how many contestants and what format it will take?

Will be interesting to see the invention challenge on Sunday. I always wonder how important the mystery box challenge is. In theory it should give the contestant some sort of advantage, but I guess that the success rate of mystery box winners are poor. How many winners of the mystery box that chose their main ingredient cooked a shocking dish and went straight into the elimination test? You are probably better off tanking the mystery box challenge and saving your best for the invention challenge. That is the real one that counts.

I don't know anything about what they will be cooking on Sunday but from the adverts, whatever Andre cooks it catches on fire in the oven, don't like his chances of winning.

I've not seen or heard anything about the format of the final week, which is quite strange.

Do they have one last, massive cook off? Do they have the eliminated contestants vote, ala Survivor? Do the judges simply decide who has performed best throughout the show?

It's probably the first option because that'd make for the most entertaining television.

Yep, it became a bit of a poisoned chalice, perhaps because of the added pressure of having a supposed advantage in the invention test.

Really? Ouch.

Sometimes shows like this one get a little boring when they get down to the last 4-5 contestants because it becomes predictable, but i don't see that happening with Masterchef because as we saw with Justine, the cutthroat nature of the challenges means that literally anyone could go home with just one mistake.

Great win by Andre tonight. He is in great form. I still think Chris looks a fair way in front of the others. Its hard to see him losing a challenge unless he has a really bad day.

I wasn't surprised that they gave a preview of a possibility of some contestant/s coming back to the show. I was sort of expecting it, ala Biggest Loser style. Will be interesting to see who they choose and how many they choose. Wonder if Brent will get another go.

Another excellent episode.

I'm over the moon about Andre winning both challenges, finally.
I've been a big fan from the start (just loved his passion, his creativity and his personality) and mentioned him as my wildcard, so it's great to see him make the last four and finally get a bit of individual success.

He's still very hit and miss, too much so to be a great chef, but in terms of amateur chefs, give me that over a boring, consistent type any day.

It's bollocks that no one is going home, which one again saves Sam's arse.

We're down to the final four, they've been together for two months, and Sam is still making mistakes that a first-time cook would.
Tonight alone there was raw mince (minced beef is right up there with chicken in terms of the easiest meats to cook properly), shell left in seafood and undercooked puff pastry.

Despite all that, he faces absolutely no consequences, which is pretty weak.

I actually think Sam is a really nice, likable bloke, but it's obvious to all that he's a long way behind the others in terms of talent and knowledge, so i suppose you've got to give him massive credit for managing to not only still be around, but be around far longer than clearly more talented cooks.

I also loved both the choices for the invention test, and the option for Andre to choose any or all of them.
The choice of mystery box ingredients was also a wise one as it gave them more basic, everyday options and allowed us to see who could turn so little into a lot.
Only a small thing, but one day i'd love to see a contestant totally avoid using the meat, or whatever the main ingredient is, in the mystery box.
They'd get so many credits for doing something creative and different, the food would only need to be slightly above average for them to get the win.

It's interesting to see that they're teasing the return of an eliminated contestant.
I don't like the idea because it's somewhat unfair on those who have made it this far, but it certainly would spice the show up.
From where i sit, the likely candidates would be Justine, Poh and perhaps Tom.

I still think Chris looks a fair way in front of the others. Its hard to see him losing a challenge unless he has a really bad day.

Yep, that's how i see it.

I'd love for Andre to come from nowhere to beat him, but Chris looks home.

He always remains calm (which is half the battle), he's creative, he's got amazing confidence and self-belief, he's incredibly consistent and he has the ability to create a genuinely special dish.

Andre and Julie have some of those qualities, but they just can't compare to Chris.

It'd take a massive twist or an absolute shocker in a cutthroat eliminator for Chris to not beat the other three, but i suppose it'll be interesting to see how Lucas and Julia measure up in the final week.

no pressure test and elimination but surely someone will get eliminated from the team challenge?

Justine a certainty to come back and i think Brent iss a fair chance as well.maybe they will have a pressure test of their own with the winner getting the chance to go into the final week.

seems tomorrows episode may be a little pointless.

Sam and Julie are defiantly next to go, then it's game on.

Seems Andre played under the radar for the first 5 weeks and it worked.

Chris seems the most professional, but he has this snarl about him that pisses me off.

Also Sam looks like a Ferret!

So in the Pressure Test week that Sam was going to be kicked out... what's that? You decide from nowhere that none of them deserve to be kicked off, so you let them all stay? OK, annoying, but whatever.

But hang on... Sam serves up more tripe, and is doing another Pressure Test and what's that? It just so happens he can't be eliminated if he loses?

How convenient.

Sam is a joke.

Everyone saying that Chris is invincible is wrong, if he happens to serve up another Poo with Cos Cos lettuce he's gone people.

Sounds like a meal I had at the Coogee Bay Hotel recently...strange.

That meal of Chris's cracked me up and i lol when he got Gary going as well when he laughed at his dish. On a related note Matt has a strange laugh!

The eliminated contestant returning is interesting. I reckon as Brent was eliminated rather unfairly he could be a chance. Also Justine as she did well most of the time and only got kicked out on the basis of one bad asian dish.

Just please not Poh!

Maybe I am missing something, but I can't really see the point of tomorrows pressure test without the elimination. It looks like they are cooking to show their love for food. What the hell is that? Surely it won't be another show where the judges ask the contestant why they are there or what food means to them.

The answers are pretty much all the same.

Judges" "Contestant X, remind us why you are here again?"

Contestant "I am here because food is my passion, it is my life"

Judges "How much does being in Masterchef mean to you?"

Contestant: pauses, lets the tears fall down their cheeks and then proceeds " It means the world to me. I always knew that food was important but until I arrived in Masterchef, I never knew that it would be my career. When I cook, all the love I have goes into the food, it is my heart, my soul. I gave up a career in x just to be on this show. I want to be a chef, I want to open my own bistro and serve food and make people happy. I want to be here because I am living my dream"

Judges: "Thank you X. Now Y, tell us why you want to be here?"
