Would have liked to have seen what they were pricing some of the ingredients at in the "supermarket". They were all throwing in a fair bit of stuff for <$10.

Would be very suprised if the top three tonight aren't the last three eliminated, barring some unimaginably bad screwup from any of them.

Jeez that Chris is an absolute w***er.

The "I wasn't expecting this", when he won the Invention Test was certainly laying it on a little thick.

Still the best cook out of the lot of them though.

See the not so subtle Coles shopping baskets they were using when they selected their ingredients? You'd be battling to get under $10 at any of the Coles that I go to.

I did notice that the cheese blocks that Chris bought were priced at about 90c, which is well under the odds.

Geez Poh annoys me! Hopefully she gets elliminated soon. And Chris..yeh he's a confident sob and his " i wasn't expecting this" was so arrogant as to be amusing.

And Julia..sigh..i find it so hard to concentrate now that she's back. Showed she has a bit of a mouth on her too when her pies were burning:p

Been saying that since day 1, based on his appearance at first :p

The fact that he looks like Grug.

I still like him. He's arrogant but he has helped others when in need eg. the wedding episode, unlike Poh who has gone out of her way to sabotage the others.

Versatility and diversity will be key this week.

Julia played right into Chris' hands by selecting goat, but no doubt if he is to win he will have to cook difficult dishes in other food genres way outside his comfort zone. At times he has struggled to achieve this.

Both Julia and Justine matched Chris last night, and will undoubtedly be his major competition... I'd even have Julia as slight favourite to take it out at the moment. She really seems to have benefited from her restaurant placement, and seems to have a surprising depth of food knowledge for someone so young.

Poh completely buggered the goat dish, not surprising, but was very lucky that it was a non elimination episode. She could make top 3 but that is entirely dependent on what type of food she is asked to prepare. Mentally she seems much more composed than prior to her departure, which will assist her greatly in the final week.

Lucas is a real enigma as he never really figured in the show initially, and then went missing when he beat Ben. From what has been aired I really have no idea of his ability or strengths and weaknesses, but surely his time spent working under Manou (my favourite chef) has given him a few tricks up his sleeve. Time will tell but I hope he surprises.

Julie won't last long this week IMO. For someone to completely bugger up something as simple as a potato and leek soup this late in the show probably means they don't deserve to be there. She still doesn't know how to attractively plate a dish, and always looks in a constant cyclonic state of (profusely sweaty) panic no matter what she is cooking.

Hopefully the judge's decisions on who to eliminate this week don't hinge solely around a single dish, and take into account performances over the entire season. Of course if they completely bugger something up (ie Julie's soup) then they deserve to go, but if it is touch and go then talent and ability should get the nod.

I really like Chris and hope he goes all the way. He is slightly arrogant, but that is borne out of his depth of food knowledge. He knows what he knows and that breeds confidence... nothing wrong with that IMO. He has been the front runner all season, and there should be something wrong if he didn't realistically think he had a good chance of taking it out.

there is a article on ninemsn with Andre saying none of the contestants want him to win. its always the case of these shows with the best competitor always being called arrogant and funny no one had a problem with Aaron only because he was no good.

If you think Chris celebrations are over the top why not look back to a few of Justines and Pohs celebrations which were hardly graceful.

Would like Julia gone, shes a dud that always cracks under pressure

From day one Chris has reminded me of Russell Crowe, both in terms of looks and personality.

For me he's one of those guys who aggravates you with his arrogance, but someone who you can't help but like.

Gee, Justine's got some wicked pinkeye going on.

I wouldn't be too keen on eating her food tonight.

That was ****ed up, no way can the decision to axe Lucas ahead of Julie be justified. Its almost enough to invalidate the entire show IMHO because it looks like the judges will use any opening they can to save someone they like.

And of course ****ing Poh has to win and then lord her advantage over the others tomorrow..

OH dear, greasy Chrissy got ahead of himself again, the look on his face when POH won, was pricelss.:D

Frogshit.

Both Lucas' pies were bland and tasted like crap, and the pastry was raw. Julie's savoury pie was great, so she was one up on Lucas. Julie had one disaster, Lucas had two. Simple decision really.

Chris did a very good job, but this challenge was right up Poh's alley... her dessert in particular was spectacular. That fish pie looked absolutely delicious.

Poh will obviously choose some sort of Asian theme (IMO she'll go Malaysian), and Justine has really struggled with everything Asian so far... especially in Hong Kong.

Tipping Justine to go home tomorrow night, with Julia to surprise Poh and take out the challenge. Julia has some serious talent.

The judges said his pastry was well cooked and they didn't say they tasted like crap. The fact is Julie completely stuffed 1 pie up so that it was inedible and had 1 that was merely good.

Why the hate for Poh ?

She's inventive and takes a risk and more often than not it comes off.

The girl can definitely cook.

Agree, she is a great cook & loves to try different things, to me that is what someone aspiring to be a Masterchef should be doing, not try & stay in their comfort zone to win.

Strong tip is she will go with some sort of deep fried cat dish :p

I like Poe, don't know why there is so much dislike for her. Chris seems to be getting cockier each week, but that might just be selective editing.

Can't believe Julie is still in it, amazed she didn't get eliminated tonight. I don't think she has any chance in winning though.
