Bulls are getting blown away by Tassie left armer Sam Rainbird. Well if we are looking for another, more accurate lefty swingman to replace Starc. He is your man. When was the last time Starc took a first class 6for @16..
Christ. He'sa 29 year old with a FC average of 34. He's in and out of Tassie's side, let alone playing for Australia.

You say some very strange things at times.

All out 104.

He knocked 1.57 off his f-c bowling average in one innings, from 34.33 to 32.76.

At a quick glance, they seem to be the best ever bowling figures for Tasmania in all first-class cricket.

Three other instances of 8 wickets (two pre-Shield), the best of these being 8-31 by William Brown against Victoria in 1857-58 (Brown took 7-42 in the other innings of that match).

Finished with 8/21. Goodbye Starc, hello Rainbird.
So pleased I humored you guys. Touch of desperation. Anxious to see the back of Starc. Having said that, Rainbird is a late bloomer. Last five FC 21 @19/20 approx. I used to back Behrendorff to take Starc's place until be had that recurring back trouble. Now he appears to have given away red ball despite having successful back surgery. Gonna post another ha ha icon.

Tim Ward can't buy a run at the moment since leading the batting list before the disruptive mid season break. Not sure what stats show but I maintain this break can kill both player and team momentum.

Anyone giving Tas a 5% chance of making the shield gf?

Have locked in 1 BP with their bowling performance and if they hit 300 off 100 there's another BP, for a total of 8 including the outright win.

Just need the Vics to show a heartbeat against WA. Vic's currently 5/58 lol

Is jason Sangha finally about have a breakout season and show us all he is not just a pretender. He is close if recent matches are any indication. 265 in his past four innings. He has discovered consistency and not only is he scoring runs he is anchoring the batting too.
Given his captaincy debut he comes out at first drop with the Blues in early trouble then proceeds to build his innings thruout the day while wickets fall round him. Unlike in his recent innings of 70s and 80s, this time he converts for his third FC century and puts his team in a reasonably strong position after the first day.

Sangha finishes on 142. Blues 294. That is a decent score on this deck.

A couple of corrections. He batted second drop and that's his 4th FC century.

Probably needs to do for a touch longer too before you can say he's discovered consistency.

Valiant effort by the Tigers, but 3 more wickets in 67 for NSW (with a win) and 20 more runs in 30 overs for WA (with a draw) knocks them out

7 or more wickets in an innings for Tasmania in f-c cricket (prior to yesterday).

Rainbird breaks a record that has stood since March 1858.

7 wickets in an innings with Dan Marsh's nudies!

Must have been a raging turner with Macgill and Freedman taking 19 of the 20 Tas wickets.

Tas then bowled NSW out to win the match and Marsh bowled 36 overs and didn't take a wicket in the 2nd innings!

Tassie just about knocked out of contention for the final, but a great effort! Need Victoria to win and SA either hold on for a draw or only lose one more wicket in the next 42 overs if they were to lose.

Webster always seems to only score runs later in the season

So Queensland are going to finish second last.

Think Queensland want to get on the grog quickly?
