You realise neither of them have released a squad yet, right?
Gabe Bell
Jarrod Freeman
Caleb Jewell
Ben McDermott
Lawrence Neil-Smith
Sam Rainbird
Peter Siddle
Jordan Silk
Matthew Wade
Charlie Wakim
Tim Ward
Beau Webster
Macalister Wright

This seems to be the only TCA released shield squad. Cant see the X1 being any different as website shows none of above injured.

Edit: Tom Andrews for Matthew Wade.

This was their last squad. Cant see it being any different..barring injuries and website shows all are fit.
I mean for one Wade wasn't in the squad.

WA squad is out: Bancroft, Cartwright, Gannon, Green, Kelly, Marsh, Morris, Paris, Philippe, Richardson, Rocchiccioli, Short, Whiteman

Would expect that to translate to:

Bancroft
Whiteman
Marsh (c)
Green
Cartwright
Philippe (+)
Short
Paris
Richardson
Kelly
Rocchiccioli/Morris/Gannon

I'd play the spinner since you have Green and Cartwright as other seam options and Morris hardly covered himself with glory last game. Whiteman could put his name in front of the selectors eyes with a good performance here

A welcome addition.

Bit of a spin graveyard. Ask Ashton Agar. Short should not be anywhere near this team. ball @ 41- bat @ 28 FC. All pace attack.
Okay:

1. There are literally 7 bats in the squad. Would you really go with 5 front line bowlers from 7-11 when you also have Green and Cartwright in the top 5?
2. He wouldn't be there as a front line bowler. He's there as the #7 bat.

I dont rate the bloke in this format. Give Rocky a crack instead.
You can literally play both. Short is clearly going to bat at 7. Paris, Richo and Kelly are good tail enders but why would they bat one at 7? To give Lance Morris a game as the 5th seamer behind those three and Green?

Lance Morris
Provides genuine pace.

Both openers gone cheaply. This is one greenish WACA. Good toss to win.

Now a Neil-Smith peach does Marsh.

Westie a good read how Philippe is trying to improve his red ball game. He is using Joe Roots recent success against India as a yardstick.

Far out that’s a disgraceful decision going down leg by mile
I missed this. Just took a squizz at replay. Green was robbed.
