I’m happy to sacrifice your TV. Happy to give Dean another week. Wasn’t great, but it was his 1st senior game for a while, and we were getting cut up on transition. Frampton ain’t back any time soon either. Flip side of Dean’s poor performance is that it allowed Howe to continue to play with more freedom.

Could rest one of the Ms each week for the next 6 and give him a block of games. Problem is he doesn’t look ready. But I’d still be happy to see him play and get some experience.

Don’t think there’ll be too many changes. Hill will obviously return. Maynard the only real chance from the injured players, Schultz a long shot. Mitchell, Cochran, Steele, Cox and Hayes the pick of the VFL win. I’d give West another crack.

On the flip side, looks like we got away with a clean bill of health so that’s a strong positive out of that game, but it makes selecting players to omit a tougher call. Sullivan and WHE the most vulnerable along with Markov who was a late in.

If you think WHE is vulnerable then you really don’t know much about football.

Agree which is more him being a victim of circumstance. I think we’ll only see West again this season if one or two of the MMM are unavailable.

Let him develop in the VFL because he could cement his spot next season.

I'd not be surprised if he does, and think he will. If we seal a top 2 spot there's no reason not to rest Mihocek/Membrey and give him another game or two. We gave him a chance in a live game, it's very likely we'd give him another in a dead one.

I thought West was ok TBH (unlike Dean who was dreadful when the game was hot) he competed well and I don’t remember him losing many contests. The problem though was that 4 talls doesn’t work for us and he’s the current worst option of the group.

Returning to a more traditional structure will make us more predictable to each other and we really missed the overlap surge running of McReery and Hill tonight which you don’t get with 4 tall forwards. That Marvel swing was always going to challenge us despite playing 3 teams with an average ladder position of about 16th so to bank 3 wins is enough for me. Back to regular programming at the G now.
