Low gravity would really help Heeney as he is very good one on one and very good jumping in the air. More hang time due to low gravity would only help him.
He has been okay. Still worry about his discipline and shonky disposals playing in such a role. But if the experiment keeps him away from the forward line and leaves space for someone like Campbell to be played where he should be, then I'm happy with that.Wicks has done pretty well I think. He is playing on a multiple All Australian. The McCartin move I think is a bomb out.
I do not want to see Campbell anywhere near HB.

Don't be so negative. Have some faith. The Big Guy is the best Tall Forward we have. He kicked 47 last year and wasn't even the focal point.More chance of a game being played on the moon than Amartey kicking 100 in a season
No. Because he has been playing a defensive role on Cadman. As a negating key back. Don't like it.Have not seen Blakey's run out of defence today.

Good hitout.
Amartey & Campbell the only real takeaways.

Neither do I to be honest. Yes Blakey can be a bit flakey defensively sometimes but his run out of defence is a huge weapon for us. We can't take that out of his game.
I suspect this is a result of McCartin not being down there.
Loved what Campbell did but his second half was quite. He needs to learn to run out games.
Personally would have preferred him kicking 2 goals in the first half and 2 goals in the second half than 4 goals in the first quarter and a half, if that makes sense.
If it was a normal game then sure. But everyone knows second halves of the practice matches are nightmares.Loved what Campbell did but his second half was quite. He needs to learn to run out games.

You do all know that appeasing Bedford means he is only going to come back and try it again?
Did you all learn nothing from Neville Chamberlain and Hitler?
I thought Hannily was good. Mitchell too in the minutes he got, which were limited. Matty Roberts was good in the few minutes he played. Paton looks impressive.Good hitout.

Amartey is never going to kick a 100 in a season , Buddy only did it onceI think McCartin should go back. That experiment is over.
Corey Warner gets plenty but his disposal, yuk.
Hannily has been handy
I liked Ladhams when he was playing on Aleer. He had him for pace.
Amartey is going to kick 100 in a season sometime soon. He is a very serious forward.
Ladhams in the ruck. Grundy forward. Good move.
McCartin off. He dropped a sitter a few minutes ago

Fox had a delayed start and according to Matthews, the thought was he would be better playing in the VFL squad for this hit outI'm just going to assume/pretend that Fox in the VFL squad is due to a delayed start and all will be rectified by Round 0.
I wasn't going to until I saw that the observations from this match alone took six pages. Clogs up the other thread. Will probably combine this one with a thread for next week's game, as more people will watch that and probably more comment will follow. You do all know that appeasing Bedford means he is only going to come back and try it again?
