Rather than just tipping how's about trying to get inside the coaches heads and do the match-ups. Its not so straight foward especially with the Carlon injuries.
Carlton Attack/ Ess defence
Whitnall/Fletcher (no brainer)
Hamill/Solomon (to keep Wellman loose)
Allen/Wallis (he gets McKernan when he's foward so why not Allen)
Lapin/Hardwick (been dangerous recently)
Hulme/Johnson M (ditto)
Fevola/Wellman (maybe Carlton will start with him this time)
Ess attack/Carlton def
Lloyd/Manton (worked OK last time)
Lucas/Hotton
Mercuri/Franchina
Allessio/O'Reilly (I think the Dons will start tall with Silvangi out)
Long/Freeborn
Hird/Beaumont(Hotton's not up to it imho)
Midfield
Barnes/Porter (to start)
Ratten/Misiti ( Misiti's forms picked up so it might be closer than the win to Ratten last time)
Camporeale/Heffernan (won't give it to Rama in a final)
Bradley/Blumfield (don't know about this one, but for the bounces I'll think they'll start them both in)
McKay/Ramanauskas (try to spring one and sweep up back with McKay)
really not sure maybe Houlihan/Barnard
Not sure about Rice's fitness. If the Dons start Caracella for Allessio maybe Freeborn will play on him. Chuck them all up in the air if Kouta plays but I don't see it happening. It's hard work this coaching. To my mind the Bombers to win, just too many good players especially counting the benches, but it could just be my bias speaking. Now you can all tell me I'm off my head
