Should honestly be smashing Leicester. If we don't win at least 3-0 I'll be disappointed.

That's the honest opinion. Then again, we haven't been smashed this season. Then again, after the turmoil that's been going on... there could be some rage. Emotions are defiantly high, a club fighting for survival, and a manager for his job.

Then again, you'll be stroppy after Tottenham, so that's also something to consider.

The first time since that last game of the invincible season, should be a very interesting game.

These midweek games make Foxtel Go the best invention ever, watching live on the tram and at the work desk in high quality :).

Should be winning this one and lots of opportunities for clubs around us to drop points too, should be an interesting couple of days.

You really think you're going to win 2-0 at The Emirates?

Jesus Christ.

The boys have a point to prove. This will be the match Kramaric finally shows what he's made of. Excellent delivery from Mahrez and Schlupp, good support from Cambiasso... I'm confident that we will get at least a goal.

Defense wise. I get the feeling that we won't make any defensive errors... for once.

Look, I know you guys do a good job there, and the fact that getting a draw, let alone a point, is going to be massive. But we've hit something really nasty here. This is the match where the team has to step up and show their intent if they want to stay in this league and keep their manager. I'm thinking for the best here, at least give me that opportunity to have my moment of mad optimism, will ya? I can see 2-0 happening. 2-1 is probably more likely.

Mind you, I'd be darn pleased with a draw, even if you won't.

Match of the round eh? Milang_Panthers - got a bad feeling Pards is going to troll us by guiding your lads to a win. If we score, I just hope it's very very late in the game! :D

Gauging most Toon fans, seems Pardew will get a mixed reaction with a split wanting to boo him and others to clap him. Will be interesting to see which reaction prevails.

I stand by my opinion that Pardew is underrated. He isn't a Mourinho but he'd be in the top 5 or 6 managers in the league imo.

I think he's definitely worthy of being a PL manager though his win record in the top flight hasn't been great (even before joining us). I think he did a decent job in a bad situation but some of the 'records' he attained during his tenure plus his staunch defence of Cashley's regime probably mean his legacy with us won't be particularly fondly remembered. That being said he's started well for Palace - will be interesting to see how he goes now that he (I presume) has control of transfers.

I'd have all of Mourinho, Pellegrini, Wenger, Koeman, Pochettino, LVG, Martinez and Rodgers all ahead of Pardew personally with Monk possibly as well. Heck, I might even take Poyet if it means we stop losing the derby! :D

(NB: Believe the below stats are for up to the end of last season).

Yep, he got Newcastle playing some great footy even with Ashleys handicap.

Great footy is debatable on whether or not hoofing it long to Williamson at every set piece counts as easy on the eye! :p

We really need to be beating Villa at home, and on a high after the draw at the Etihad we need to be putting 2 or 3 past them.
Villa's defense is actually surprisingly good. Would more likely be a 1-0 type win I would have thought.

Quite possibly, and I'd happily take it.

Wow, looking at that, Tim Sherwood was harshly dealt with. A winning percentage of 59% over 22 games is nothing to sneeze at!
It wasn't his winning percentage that was the problem, it was his strange selection choices and his remarkable ability to consistently put his foot in his mouth at press conferences and say ridiculous things that made our current PM seem like a thoughtful and considerate man.

Absolutely massive game against Liverpool this one. A win would put a considerable distance between Spurs and Liverpool that would almost rule them out of contention for the top 4. A win for them =would move them within a couple of points of Spurs. Not especially confident as we've been absolutely mauled the last handful of times against them and we seem to have a dip in form after a big win. Would be very happy with taking a point from Anfield.

It's worked out well for you anyway but I'd put up with his weird antics for that kind of winning percentage. Maybe the guy can manage better than I thought.

I could be wrong on Sherwood but didn't he say he had the best record of any Spurs manager? (or something along those lines?).

Will be interesting to see where his next job is at - probably will get offered another gig at PL level you'd think despite his relative inexperience.

Arsenal 3-0 Leicester
Hull 1-0 Villa
Sunderland 2-1 QPR
Liverpool 2-0 Spurs
United 2-0 Burnley
Southampton 1-1 West Ham
Chelsea 2-0 Everton
Stoke 1-1 Man City
Palace 2-1 Newcastle
WBA 1-2 Swansea

We've been pretty dire lately.

Hoping we can get a win but with Gomis (ungreatful campaigner) leading the line....can't say I'm all that confident.

Sorry, don't see it.

Think we will pump you.
