John Terry desperate for that new contract. Chelsea fans are da bestest in da whole world. I want to stay. Chelsea aren't communicating with me.

Utter flog.
Why is he a flog for wanting a new contract?

Trying to turn the fans against the club to get a new contract. A person with an ounce of pride or dignity would just accept the clubs decision.
everyone knows terry's a dick, only some cfc fans like him but he is a selfish dick always has been.
getting rid of Mou and Terry is the best thing thats happened to CFC since RDM won them the UCL

A loss to Leicester would be the end of the title race for us IMO. Need a big win tonight and to beat Leicester just to get the belief back I think, a spanking from Barca won't help either.
Halfway there, got a bit of mojo back, Sanchez hopefully will be hitting his stride and Coq ready to play 90 mins, Leicester here we come!

Top 4 is looking pretty set, can't really see anyone dropping out of it. Hugely disappointing that it's looking like we will not be with CL football again. LVG will have to go, and I'll be happy with Mou coming in if he gets the job. Another fresh start for the club, and hopefully guys like Januzaj, Periera, Memphis, Herrera etc get a real go under a new manager.

What are your thoughts on him?

Way too early to write him off, way too early IMO.

Regardless of how he's struggled to settle we just can't judge our attackers like that this season when they are forced into playing such a conservative, risk free style of football that severely limits attacking freedom, it's just not fair IMO. Mata always ranks amongst the very best in terms of midfield goal scorers and creators but has also been abysmal in front of goal, if an established star can't cut it in this 'philosophy' then it's hardly surprising that a new arrival will struggle to settle.

I think he's got a lot to work with personally, it's just hard to see that in the most conservative attacking setup in England.

Just finished watching. Draw is a good result for the top four as things stand. Don't want Chelsea getting confidence and going on a run, but United too close for comfort. Not over by a long shot, but glad to see the points shared. Great strike by Lingard, can't fathom why he was taken off for a player that I genuinely believe will end up back in Holland for very little money, very soon. I see the spark, but I don't see the rest.

Depay won't be sold. Sometimes young players take more than half a season to start playing good football in a better league, I recall a lot of early calls about Erik Lamela. Sometimes patience is key, not like Depay is getting much game time either, 10 minutes isn't enough to work into a game.

I agree on that, Lamela's probably the example that comes to mind. The key difference in my eyes is that Lamela completely lacks an ego, to the point where he cost £30m or whatever and was too shy to impose himself. Memphis arrived in England with a fully mapped out PR plan, replete with single-name and Ronaldo's 7, but his football isn't anywhere near the standard.

He might eventually make a success of himself, but I don't know whether the new manager will want to deal with that personality in the dressing room when its in such stark contrast to his performances. He's got plenty more talent than Lingard, but you can't buy enthusiasm and Memphis has none.

Nothing wrong with being confident/ego, I'm sure it's shocked him a bit, up to him now.

I'm happy to wait.

United have never been much of a counter attacking side though. I mean you usually dominate possession.
Not sure what team you watched under Fergie, particularly when Ronaldo was there.

We made a living out of destroying teams on the counter after clearing corners or poor passes. United has always been about fast wingers creating a lot of width and pace.

Memphis will probably be fine. Has been okay at times this year, but definitely needed a bit of a reality check. Came on in tough circumstances at the Bridge and just happened to be warming up basically when that pass was made and it was a shocker. Had nothing to do with the goal though. The rest of the team was set up to defend and didn't do their jobs properly.

He was an extremely highly driven individual before arriving at United. He'd get into fights a lot but was always dedicated to football.

Saying all that, seeing the way Van Gaal has completely mismanaged Januzaj and Pereira, it's hard not to give Depay a clean slate under a new manager.
Fair enough. So it's mismanagement or he's just not very good. He showed so much in Holland, I was annoyed when we missed out on him, not so much now.

Erm that's exactly what I said though, from corners or turnover or poor passes, United were excellent on the counter. But overall, United would still dominate possession too.
