Oh right.

Because Liverpool see themselves as a bigger club and are bitter that Spurs may win the title before they do.

Inb4 football existed before PL.
I think you may have hit the nail on the head SM

Wait until Everton oust Martinez. Won't even be the best in the city no more. ;)

Bless you.

There is no animosity on my behalf if you win it either. I'm sure you can sense it's the Liverpool and Arsenal fans trying to stir things up on here.

I genuinely mean it when I say I won't be at all bitter if Leicester win - even if it ends up as only a point or two over us. Ok if you won a last minute dodgy penalty in the final game to achieve that outcome then perhaps I would be a little narked!

Finishing second to an Arsenal (no English talent, horrid manager etc) or to a Man City (more money than sense / foreign mercenaries) would hurt and make me bitter (especially if it involved Deli Alli slipping over in the penultimate match). But losing to a Leicester team that has gone through perhaps the biggest miracle seen in English football - you just have to sit back and admire that
So why go on about ref's wanting Leicester to win, stupid conspiracy theories, double standards.

Haven't seen the footage, but if his arm is out/in an unnatural position and the ball hits it, it is most certainly a pen.

Also, I don't understand with what is wrong if you admit you have some luck along the way? To have two pens called against you so far is beyond lucky. If you won games you should have lost, why does it matter if you say you got lucky?

We had some luck in the 49 game unbeaten run, it happens.

Ah an arsenal fan who has reason

Agreed.

Any other season and I'd be right on the Spurs bandwagon but well, you know. It's great to see another team up an about, especially one that has done it in a really positive way.

There's also not a single Spurs player I sit back and hate.

Without wanting to start anything, and as much as I have criticized Wenger, you cannot call him horrid and think it is an accurate term to describe him.

As for the English talent, we have players from the UK - they aren't up to a standard we require though, not really entirely our fault.

Ditto. Sucks being the only club wishing you fall on your arse... Slip up you could say.

I was referring to the Liverpool Spurs hate. I don't really get it.

First of all we don't hate them, more like some spurs fans here who can't stop winding everything back to Liverpool in this forum coz obsession and all that, 2nd there are others that clearly don't fancy some spurs fans around here anyhow. It's unfair on a few Spurs fans here to pigeonhole their obnoxiousness purely on the Liverpool front

That's all I'll add

I know it's true. Over here there's huge love and respect for Leicester but Spurs are not far behind.

Obviously I get Arsenal fans will always hate us (even though you get the odd decent one like Cryuff) and to a lesser degree Chelsea and West Ham fans (DBH and Chef are thoroughly decent chaps though). But what I don't get us the hate on here from the scousers. It's bizarre and doesn't really make sense. Completely flummoxed by it

Not caring what neutrals think.. ok bud, carry on as you were. :thumbsu:

DBAH0 do you still have that table handy?

I don't know if I could begrudge Spurs of winning the league either. They have played entertaining football and have some very good players (I actually like most of their squad). Done very well for the most part this season.
The only thing I would say for Spurs, defensively they've been excellent, but I feel that if you can stop Kane from scoring you've got a good chance of at least getting a draw with them.

They need more out of their AM's / wingers to become an "elite team". Eriksen's a very good player, but I feel he's capable of scoring 15 goals in a season and he only has 6 so far this season for instance. I thought Son would be a good signing for them, but he hasn't really fired a shot this season in the Premier League.

If they can find a 15 - 20 goal scorer to help Kane, that will take them to the next level.

By this logic you'd expect that we'd be at it with the Leicester fans too wouldn't you? Blackburn, Leeds etc.

More to do with a handful of Tottenham supporters in here than the club itself. Tottenham are playing great football, and are genuinely exciting to watch this year - they possess the same underdog status as Leicester and by all rights neutrals should be happy whichever one of the 2 clubs won the league this year.

It's these bizarre and unfounded delusions of grandeur that we see every day in here, premature claims of greatness and certainty that they'll win the league not only this year but next year too - perhaps if they'd won something, anything of note in living memory to hang their hat on then it wouldn't be quite so grating.

I suspect that for this reason a few of their supporters in here simply don't know how to win. All of a sudden for the first time in decades they find themselves at the top of the pile, and their default response is to be obnoxious. It's not exactly endearing and it's no surprise that you'll struggle to find a neutral anywhere that isn't willing Leicester to take out the league this year ahead of Tottenham.

I do really actually want to like Wenger, because someone who has achieved what he has deserves respect. I thought I was starting to finally "like" him when he stood in the stand at OT and pulled that humble pose with the ironic smile on his face. The only time he ever came over as humble or likeable for me.

I just can't stand his whinging, it does my head in. He will never change now - and even Fergie mellowed towards the end. I got rather emotional when he came out for his last game at OT and I hated him for the most part!

Jatz

For what it's worth, this is a table of incorrect decisions as deemed by who DBAH0?

Check out that number for Leicester.

People said the same thing about us in 2013/14.

I'm not going to go through each and every decision for and against Leicester this year, but I will say that if you attack the penalty area with speed and quality like Leicester have all year, you're going to be a much greater chance of drawing fouls and being awarded penalties.
