People said the same thing about us in 2013/14.

I'm not going to go through each and every decision for and against Leicester this year, but I will say that if you attack the penalty area with speed and quality like Leicester have all year, you're going to be a much greater chance of drawing fouls and being awarded penalties.

That table is about incorrect decisions though, and instances such as the one being discussed in here was one where Leicester was defending, so not much argument about 'attacking with speed and quality' I guess.

Honestly I hadn't really noticed it much before this week but there've been a few people now - can't remember who the other was in the doping thread - posting the ref differentials for Leicester compared to last season that made me take notice of it last night.

That second one deflected off his own foot in to his hand as well (which you cannot see from the still).

Think Cruyff is using it to point out the issue with using still frames.

By this logic you'd expect that we'd be at it with the Leicester fans too wouldn't you? Blackburn, Leeds etc.

More to do with a handful of Tottenham supporters in here than the club itself. Tottenham are playing great football, and are genuinely exciting to watch this year - they possess the same underdog status as Leicester and by all rights neutrals should be happy whichever one of the 2 clubs won the league this year.

It's these bizarre and unfounded delusions of grandeur that we see every day in here, premature claims of greatness and certainty that they'll win the league not only this year but next year too - perhaps if they'd won something, anything of note in living memory to hang their hat on then it wouldn't be quite so grating.

I suspect that for this reason a few of their supporters in here simply don't know how to win. All of a sudden for the first time in decades they find themselves at the top of the pile, and their default response is to be obnoxious. It's not exactly endearing and it's no surprise that you'll struggle to find a neutral anywhere that isn't willing Leicester to take out the league this year ahead of Tottenham.
This is all completely unfounded. I think you are projecting thoughts of yourself onto us if anything.

All the Spurs fans are completely chuffed about our season and are loving it. In fact it's the Liverpool fans who have said we should be gutted if we don't win the league - therefore advocating the very arrogance you speak of in your post.

Seriously, and I'll name names, but a lot of the scousers on here are bad sports - you, WC, cooldude to name three.

Give it a rest will ya. This post is a perfect example of why Spurs are not being backed by neutrals. You're obsessed with baiting LFC fans & Arsenal fans and are always looking to shit stir instead of actually enjoying your league season.

And as for the side itself I do actually like Spurs alot. Poch is an excellent young manager and there's plenty to like about the way Kane / Alli etc play the game.

It's just a pity that so many Spurs fans are like yourself and focus on baiting other fans instead of their own club. Move on.

Firstly I've never thought we would win it. Hoped we would, wanted us to but didn't think we would. Haven't made claims of grandeur or we're beginning a dynasty etc. I'm happy with the transformation under Pochettino and we should now be a consistent top 4 competitor.

Secondly most of my pot shots have been centred to one club (wonder why that is). Surprisingly that hasn't been Arsenal. Why, they know they haven't played all that well this year and some of them like Cruyff have given us credit for the way we have played. So there's a bit of respect there. windyhill is just some friendly banter. Don't take his shots to heart and will enjoy giving a bit back (that's how the system works)

Thirdly, they take it well, far better than Scousers do. Give it out and take it back in return with good humour.

Lastly I give your lot shit (the underlying reason why you've made this post) because a subsection of your fans are delusional. I guess you had no problems in December when Jod and WC were still trying to argue they were better (as evidenced by their combined XI's). Well they're fair game as far as I'm concerned. See from where I stand this board is all based around results and the banter stems from that. We get our usual no success barbs because we don't have historical results but the reason you cop it back is likewise you've been in a barren spell of late but the difference has been that you're also mid table trash.

No one had any problems in the last two or 3 seasons hanging it on us too for being perennial 5-6th place finishers and bottling big games massively, bowing out in cups, playing on Thursday nights, losing NLD's with monotonous regularity. Now the shoe is on the other foot, you pool fans don't like it.

Well I don't care if you don't want us to win, honestly don't care I'm just enjoying the good football we are playing and giving you some of your own medicine.

I will say this though, if we see the usual Scouse boom bust cycle optimism and predictions to finish above us next season, then when it fails to occur you will again be receiving some stick. Start winning and finishing top 4 and you'll get some respectability back.

Sorry mate, but it's all to evident that you and a few of you fellow fans have become jealous of what Spurs are doing. It's no use trying to shift it on to us as "arrogance" as it's plain for everyone else to see. I don't see any other fans other than a couple of obvious gooners saying as much.

Funny thing is, like you say, we haven't even achieved anything as yet. Just the possibility of us achieving something is enough to send you into meltdown. You need to drop it and show appreciation like everyone else

I'm going to wake up in the morning and see 15 pages added to this thread aren't I.....

Not about the handball decision you won't. About Spurs-Liverpool you might.

I'm logging off shortly you'll be pleased to know.

But I really think the blame here lays with certain Liverpool fans. Of course they won't admit to being jealous (it's an unwanted trait after all) so of course they lay the blame at us being arrogant. Don't mistake pride for arrogance is what I say.

What I dont get from media sources is

'Tottenham are Leicesters only threat' heard stuff similar to that in the leicester games coverage

ummmmmmmm, Arsenal win their one game in hand and they're only 1 point off of Tottenham.....

Also, it'd be best for Arsenal to win the league.

Leicester and Tottenham fans didnt expect to win the league this season. Failing and still getting champions league football is a major accomplishment.
Arsenal winning it though? Well, them failing to win the league would be devastating to their fans when all United/City/Chelsea are down.

Your theory goes out the door when it is pretty clear that most LFC fans are happily supporting Leicester's push to win the title.

Nice attempt to bait but it's a fail for you this time.

Yeah, no.

This is a once in a lifetime sort of season for Leicester and maybe even Spurs.

Yes but that's little old Leicester isn't it - not as big a threat to the established order are they.

There's a podcast this week - I would love to discuss this further with you on there...

I'd love to but with 2 young kids, running a football club and working I barely have time to breathe!! If only I could get away with it at work somehow...... Perhaps I can pretend i'm on the phone to a client who's into football !!!
