Before the Saints game i thought gee im not sure about us. But that performance against them gave me confidence that maybe we are just about there... After this. We are Just part of the Mob that are making up the numbers. And the Bottom 8 in any case. We will win 3 more games for the year to peeter out to a nothing year again

Dont you think Ratts needs a stern talking to himself? He has been outcoached again. Is it just me or do we lack any kind of specific game plan. And when things start going the other way, he certainly has no ideas then.
Having said that not helped by the players. Stevens has to be gone now. Houlihan was bad. Browne was beaten badly a few times in that first half
The Bombers been desparate and hard at it, and we just dont have that edge. Too few, carrying too many.
Ibbotson did it to him on the Gold Coast too...but usually he makes up for it

TBH, I really dont think that Ratten has much of a clue. He is a static coach, nothing dynamic about his changes during a game as a general rule. Knights is a better coach than him full stop.
Though, to be fair, Knights players actually played for their club tonight, I dont know what about 12 of ours were doing, thinking about nexts weeks haircut?
Dont mind the young kids making blues, browne made a few thats true, but when the "supposed" guns in our side couldnt give a flying fk, at least he tried.

I think it is fairly obvious that a number of players out there tonight will not be part of premiership #17. The obvious ones are Stevens, Scotland, Houlihan, Fisher. I also very much doubt that Ratts will be the coach of premiership #17. He is easily outcoached by coaches who aren't happy to participate in shootouts.
We have played some good football this season, but the gulf between our best & worst is still too large for us to challenge the upper echelon teams.

Yep and it now becomes a question of how long do we keep these people before biting the Bullett?? Ratts Included mind you! We went back 3 years on tonights performance. It is just not good enough and we deserve more.

You would understand if we put on that rubbish against Geelong or St Kilda, but to play that badly against an ordinary team like Essendon points to some underlying deficiencies, maybe with the players' mental preparation, that have yet to be identified & dealt with by the coaching staff.
Now you know how we feel every time we play you. They just seem to have your number and you can't lift for them. Same goes for us against you.
Stating the obvious here, your best is very, very good. Your worst is just awful.

At some point in time the Rose colored glasses need to be taken off and reality hits. Why try and hide the fact these blokes were ordinary for most of the game??? I understand a Positive stance but FFS we were terrible against a Mediocre side.
