Usually I'd agree with you, but you have to keep in mind that Matt Carr played just about his best game of the season in the second derby last year. I am among his biggest critics but I think he can provide a bit of push and shove this week...especially considering we're going in with a lot of youngsters in Palmer, Mayne, Duffield and Ibbo.
I would tell M. Carr to go out there and whack a couple of blokes. If he gets rubbed out, it's no great loss.

He's obviously got something going for him that none of us can see. When he's out of the team on a regular basis, we'll be doubly pleased that not only is he no longer there, but that one of the younguns has finally stepped up and taken his place.

i like tough players, and with carr in the side we are a tougher team. although if mark johnson was available id be putting him in the side and dropping matty

Inconsistency doesn't cut it for my liking.

Possibly. But only because he doesn't have an obvious match up this week, which makes it even harder to justify his spot in the 22.
Matty Carr has been one of my favourite players and is capable of kicking a goal when going foward. You have to give the guy kudos for sacrificing his game (he had one season of not tagging under CC and kicked at least one goal a game) in order to be the main run with player for Freo.
He might play on Kerr or he and josh could tag team the angry aerial basher. He may miss for team balance this week (team will not play as named) but I wouldn't be saying he is washed up just yet.

He needs to come back via the WAFL. He is in need of a few games to get match fitness and Has shown no form at all so far this year.
If He plays He will be getting picked on reputation and isn't that what everyone complains about?

The obvious match up this week is Priddis. Lock it in, if he plays that is
Maybe. As Ripper said Matty Carr has a history of tagging Cox after the bouncedown. Don't forget Crowley as a tagging option - this may be the role Harves has earmarked to get Creepy back into form.
