How about Donahue as a F/S pick ?? I think he has a year left, but obvious choice to play for the Cats, and is a bigger backman I believe.
Buck Donohue's only around the 6ft mark (182-183cm). Hasn't grown since he was 14 or so.

If he gets picked up, it'll be as a small defender or flanker.

Does anyone really believe that he would be content to sit in the reserves until someone gets injured?

Think about it who is he going to replace?
Milburn - AA still has 2-3 years left
Harley - Captain still has 3 years +
Scarlet- AA still has 4 years +
Egan - AA still had 4 years +
Mackie - Vastly improved Still has 4 years +

He is not going to wait 2 years in the reserves for Milburn to retire and I believe he would be behind all the guys with the possible exception being Mackie. Mackie is an important player and improving so much. He can not be playing reserves.

Then there is the issue of fitting 9 AA players in the AA team. If Geelong trade they will have to go for upgraded picks. I want our team to stay together. Grabbing Mcguire will be counter productive as far as that goes.

That is only 5 players....Im pretty sure you have at least 6 backman! You could then play harley on the 4th best forward how much would he dominate floating across packs to help scarlo and ego! Mouth watering i think!

I thought it was blatantly obvious that as a traditional KP player. McGuire is not going to relplace Enright, Wojak or Hunt as a small backmen.
