Even when we have not been flat footed Priddis fails to hit targets, can't hold the ball until targets become available. Last night I saw him rove a ruck contest from a standing start. He had no momentum to run around the contest so had to snap it foward and cross his fingers. Classic Priddis.

Like he was when he first started?

I'd rather an inside mid that gets 70% of the clearances he does and have 70% of them be effective. Rather than 100% of clearances and maybe 40% tops be effective.

His disposal will improve with better teams but he will always be limited.[/quote]

Come on, Pridis has improved allot since the year he started and had a decent midfield around him.

And as you said his disposal will improve with a better team and sure his pace will limit him. But a pick in the 20's is on the money. Pick 30+ wouldn't be worth it.

Priddis needs to go. There is absolutely no point in him being in our team, he is just taking a spot of a younger better player. (stevens) Even if he is in our side we get absolutely smashed.

What evil could possibily come from dropping mature age players. We are now 16th, it's a accurate reflection on how our playing list and players have been coached and managed.

And every team needs someone to put their head into a pack and dish out the ball by hand as well as tackle, thats his job in the team.

What the above definition has got to do with Pridis's trade value is very little and simply sloppy posting.;)

Without Priddis, you guys would be further in the shit IMO.

I've watched last nights game twice now and he was a key reason as to why WCE were "still in the game" in the first half with his clearance and stoppage work.

He was doing his work for the team with desperate efforts, ball accumulation and tackling, yet after he was winning it and feeding it out, it was guys like Ebert and Selwood x2 that were turning the ball over when sending it forward.

Carlton would be a possible trade partner, though they may be nervous about trying to trade for an inside grunt mid after the McLean and Hadley experiences.

Their reasoning behind going for them was basically to save Judd from doing all the grunt work and letting him use his explosive pace and skill more. Priddis would potentially be a decent workhorse for the Blues' abundance of classier midfielders, provided he handballed to the other mids, rather than slapping it on the boot.

Whether Carlton would go down that track again, and what they would pay is another story though...

Don't see why GC would want him. It would take zero pressure off Ablett who would have 2 players tagging him and couldn't care less if Priddis got 60 kicks(floaters) a game. They'd also need a quality ruckman to get him the ball.

I think we're stuck with him. Honestly, he's too slow to even be a tagger which is normally what unskilled mids do. God knows how we make him our no1 mid.

Brisbane would like him. They dont have any pure inside mids other than Black.
Is this the Brisbane midfield that ran around us like witches hats in the final quarter rd 1?
And does pure inside mid mean someone who can't kick? Because Black's delivery by foot when he has the chance is pretty much elite.
That's the problem really. There's nowhere to hide on a football field. If you can't kick well, it gets exposed. Lack of speed/agility? Get's exposed.

Denton, bunsenburner, good to see your years of AFL experience have left you well grounded to make disparaging comments about a player that has shown immense loyalty to the club.

What has loyalty got to do with ability? Give me a game, I'll be loyal. Does that mean I'm a good player?

Turned his back on a big deal with Brisbane last season for a smaller contract with West Coast, simply out of love for the club.
Source please.

Nobody here should be preaching about desiring loyalty and passion for the club.
Can you show anywhere where I have demanded or even requested loyalty or passion?

Clearly it's a case of past your use by date, out the door.
Correct.

You can't build culture at a club so long starved of it by simply buying and selling players for success.
Manchester United says "You're a peanut".

It's an interesting argument you have going here.
He's a bit like De Boer without the flair and kamikaze attack on the ball.

The ones that stand out for me are Adam Selwood and Andrew Embley.

Honestly...how the hell does Embley keep his spot...he's playing worse than Josh Head FFS.

That shot on goal from Selwood typified his season...kicked it like an amputee chimp.
Before Priddis went, these two should be taken out and shot...at least Priddis knows what a hard ball is and can tackle

You want him? For pick 26 (which is what some are saying - 1 suggested pick 10! :D:eek:)?

He is shithouse ... and you know it ...

You give us pick 26 too...all our christmases etc.

Look I agree...if Barlow, Hill and Morabito have shown us anything its that pace AND vision AND dispoal are awesome weapons.

BUT...much the same way we kept McManus probably two years past his use-by (don't laugh), I'd trade Selwood and de-list Embley...in fact Embley should not have played the last 3 games, before Priddis

Morabito and disposal shouldn't go together unless "has shit" is between them.

Agreed with the others, however.

Players on other teams just get the ball forward of centre at centre bounces, and then their players just run. Our midfield set of Priddis, Embley, A.Selwood, are way too slow and just get beaten consistently.

It's a bit loopy at this stage sometimes, granted.

His pace and vision, most of the time, is excellent, and his handball is a weapon.

He's done some stuff that, frankly, reminds* me of Judd early. Check out the Geelong highlights on our board for his two consecutive goals...also one against Carlton

*That's reminds...not is 100% like.
