Yet on a few years ago you campaigners had a Priddis thread.

There was also a poll about 5 years ago when priddis hit the 100 odd games mark whether he would hit 200 games or not. Much of the consensus was that he wouldn't, that our younger brigade would push him out.

He's up to 219 games now- been a fantastic servant of the club over a long period of time. Consistency just never wavers, and a record for tackles laid would be fitting for a guy who just keeps on keeping on.

I bet a lot of people were hoping we'd actually draft some decent mids over the last 5 years

Still can't admit u were wrong hey?
Theres no chance - why would i - the vids tell a completely different narrative to the story you tell.

If say for instance you could pull a vid out of him killing it from that era id happily reconsider. But you cant - for every vid of a good disposal i can show you two vids of a shit awful disposal.

His disposal improved remarkably since. Thats why we stopped bashing him.

Not even drafting- at that point in time our mids were young. We had high hopes that a midfield of masten, Ebert, swift, Shuey & Scott Selwod would take us to that next step.

I was hoping after 2011 that we would win the next 4 premierships and he would retire after that. ;)

How naive we were...

Btw - just finally sat down to watch the melbourne game

Priddis' first possession

A handball @19:19 to sam mitchell - makes him check pace instead of being in front of him - sam mitchell gets caught

Some of us dont just analyse how often a player gets the ball - some of us are constantly analysing what the player does with it when they get it.

Everyone else in the vicinity had a player on them.

Not a huge Priddis fan. But having a guy like Mitchell will make him a better football. It's not just the support but he will be also be motivated to play along side some so great. Mitchell also means that prid will need to kick less and will handball more. Those two could really free up gaff and Shuey to really attach this season.

If his handball was a bullet - and in front of him so he didnt have to check pace it would have been alright

even the commentators commented on the air time.

A handball to a running player should make them stretch to get it - never slow them down.

Some of you are blind to the good and only see the bad because it brings you joy to see him falter.
Go back over the voting threads over the last couple of years and you will find a lot of the guys who critisize him the most have given him high votes often. (Excepting domo whos a straight up hater)

Its just that when hes awful we notice it.

If that handball was out in front of him, Mitchell would have been cleaned up/tackled instantly by the Demon (I think it was Vince?) coming the other way. But Priddis' handball was poor, though. I'm just saying it didn't make a difference.

All the comments in that old thread are his tackling fuel
