Totally agree! I'd rather play our younger mids. He turns 28 at the end of the year so not like he's going to get much better

I think Hine is a fan, and outside runners are something we could use more of... of course we're hoping a few of our existing youngsters will make the grade...

He isn't going to leave a nice stable home in Perth unless we offer him an attractive salary and he just isn't worth it

I'm in favour of bringing in an experienced head ala Essendon with Chapman and Hawthorn with Lake, but is Rosa the man? Probably not IMO.

Mundy is the one I would keep an eye on if we feel we can challenge post 2014. We have been fairly average in the clearances in 2014 so to bring the number 1 clearance player in the league on board well there's your Lake or Jolly style difference maker right there.

pretty sure he would rather come back and live near his family then be in perth, I don't think money would be the biggest factor

It's sideways because he doesn't provide anything we don't already have in terms of midfield strengths. He isn't fast, he isn't outside, he isn't an elite kick despite what some people seem to think. He provides no point of difference to our team and would possibly squeeze out a younger player and cost us a lot of cash.

Would be a good depth option at a club that needs depth options. Upgrade on Marty Clarke but thats about all. Would rather spend the space on a draftee.

Mundy on the other hand despite his age might be worth a punt, especially if Ball/Swan suddenly pulls the pin.

Nah free agency has allowed good to average players be way overpaid. I don't think we should use free agency unless it is like Young where there was a lack of his sort of type of player on our list an didn't cost us a lot. Imagine getting a player such as Rosa or Gibbs and paying them a similar amount of money to what quality players such as Reid Ball and probably Sidey and Beams. It wouldn't go down well. Let clubs like Carlton take these guys and over pay them. Our priority is to have enough cap space for Beamsy next year and to lock up the young draftees into new contracts.
