Kreuzer will probably team up with his BFF Trent Cotton at Tigerland ..

Its reached a point of no return I'm afraid for Kreuzer. The club has really hung him out to dry, the loyalty he has shown to the club hasn't been reciprocated, even if the club increases its offer I suspect Kruezer will walk (and honestly you can't blame him if he does)

Here we go again.

Making statements as if they are fact DVB.

Be skeptical all you like but it's coming from the club and we all know how much they love to leak.

Sorry BB, but it sounds like your source is having a laugh at your expense. Suggesting that this information is coming from the club makes it even less plausible than it was already.

I'll go over this again because this very simple fact seems to have been ignored. We may be hoping for band one compensation (ie. pick 2) if Kreuzer leaves, but what we receive will not be known until after he has joined another club.

I find it impossible to believe that the club has told people we won't be letting Kreuzer go if we don't receive pick 2 in compensation...when the former has to happen before the latter is confirmed.

In the interests of Scuttlebutt, according to his sister, Kreuzer wants to stay but is pushing for a little more dough added to the contract. The club however is not budging on its initial offer.

So much for "how can he fail 2 medicals he never went for".

Pie medical team will orgasm in their Weeties if he so much as stretches a sock elastic next season.

He hadn't been for any medical at that stage. I don't even believe he failed the ones he did go for aside from their concern that he won't get injured again.

is that actually legit about docherty? they're taking the piss haha.

So its looking likely we will keep kruez if its only pick 19 compo?

That's what I've been told.

As another poster stated, Trigg had an argument with Gil last week because we were of the belief that the AFL would be transparent about what we'd get for Kreuz.

I'm not sure where things are at now but if I find out, I'm happy to share the info :)

Didn't SOS ask the AFL not too long ago?

Maybe he got a response... hmmmmmmmmm

Ran out the season pretty well for an unfit player.

There is fit......and then there is fit for a $2.4M contract.

It is a huge investment and Kruze would have to "fly through" any medical for a Club to pay that.

It doesn't mean he won't play 100 games in the next five years, but if there was a foreseeable risk that he might be restricted to 60, and small to medium problems showed up in medicals, it would be enough to be hesitant on investing that heavily.

I don't know if Kruze has failed any medicals, but it wouldn't surprise me given his body's history.

If Collingwood were investing $1.4M on the player instead of $2.4M, the bar on "passing the medical" would be lower.

His risky body is the reason we can bring ourselves to let him go for a big deal, but is also the reason it was/is always doubtful he would get that big deal offer elsewhere.

Kreuzer allegedly has failed Medicare at two other clubs... And so we're happy to pay a lot of money over the next few years for a player with such high risk physically.... Right now my offer to Kreuzer would be 1 year 400k with a 2 year extension trigger then with more $ depending on how his body holds up next season.

It's a worry that his body could be shot.

Should be paid no more than $500 per year imo... 14 games in two seasons and alleged failed Medicals means tough decision for the club. Continue overpaying players who you like but are questionable in fitness - or pay them according to the risk factor

Still $500 per year is a bit harsh. Will be sleeping on a bench and eating noodles all week long.
