most of our kids suffer from their own hype IMO. they play some great footy we all pump them up and then when they come crashing back down there's the same people (more often than not) calling for their heads.

We're honestly pretty much where i expected. I think we are now an average team working to becoming a good team. We will achieve that when we win the games expected of us and are accountable every week. From there we will build to an elite team where we can play badly by our standards but still be able to bring home the four points.

Kreuzer is an exceptional young athlete with the afl at his feet. It took Dean Cox 4-5 years to become Dean Cox. Its taken Kreuze 20 odd games.

I'm very confident we are headed in the right direction and our kids will decide how long our journey will take. Kreuzer is trying to get us there asap.

Good luck next week Kreuze show Coxy who's in line as the next top dog ruckman of the afl.

p.s - He could easily dominate as a CHF. Maybe the long term solution to our key position forward problem we currently have (which will be magnified 10 fold when fev is done)

Cant wait till next week
Everyweek I see him improving, will be good to see him against big coxy around the ground.
Im counting down already.

Yep the Krueze Missile verses the Big Cox - all of Bruce McAveney's dreams come to fruition. :D

Mwwwwwwah! Well done Snakey , well done Brucey! :thumbsu:

Thank goodnness for a positive thread.

Matty Kreuzer is just so great to watch. He is my favourite out of the number 1's (I like them all) as he has so much upside to his game and we know he will just get better over the next few years. Attack on the ball, tackling and his marking are just a delight for a kid so young (and tall).

Other kids I found good today were:
Bower - has not been beaten for weeks and is just so steady now in the backline.
Browne - good hard at it player. Haven't seen the stats yet but I am sure he had a fair bit of the ball and alot of contested possessions. Needs to put his foot on the gas pedal a bit more as he can get caught though.
Austin - Dangerfield beat him on the lead, but his tackling, strong marks and second efforts show that he needs to keep his place in the team and game time will help him out. No need to go back to the Ants to learn. He can learn in the seniors.
Joseph - good negating game on McLeod. When he is given a job to do, he follows the order. McLeod said after the game that he still expected AJ to be next to him. :thumbsu: Good compliment for the kid.

Some of the others kids will learn. Yarran picked up his game in the second half.

We agree entirely re Austin, Browne, AJ, Bower and Yazz. I'd even add in Hammer's ability to contest in the ruck as another positive to off-set the absolute rubbish dished up from blokes like Russell, Wiggo, Hads, Gibbs and even Army.:D:(;)

STICKS II

this kid is an absolute champion the only one who gets up and has a second and third go and never gives up in a contest we are so lucky to have him.

well done kreuz.
:thumbsu:

How sad for Gibbs that a big bloke who should be playing A grade footy in 3-4 years is already doing it in his second year... whereas Gibbs who should be miles ahead of him and should be playing as Murphy did last year is going backwards!

Don't really see where that's coming from.

If he can use his run more and lead better than he can kick 2 3 goals a game. At times he becomes too stationary but he knows how to lead and the more he does it the better of he'll be. But around the ground today he was great. Seriously already a star.
Kreuzer>>Cotchin

I can't fault Krueze, he tries his absolute guts out and has a heart made of steel, its a disgrace and shame on the jumper and the playing group that we should be following Kruze's lead, a bloke in his second year of football in a very demanding role, he's a beauty this bloke

There are all these threads about players who performed bad. how about players who never give up and run hard at the footy every ****ing contest and gets down to get the ball out to Carltons advantage even though his shoulders are at head height for most of our midfield.

He's going to be a fantastic player for us and showed today when we were down and out he just kept going at it.

Oh yeah. stop being douches. a few bad games doesn't mean we should turn against our players.

Can't fault your post DB, especially the last line :thumbsu:

week in and week out is our bravest. Has moved up to my favourite for VC next year

Showed real leadership out there tonight - more than any other player wearing navy blue that's for sure. :o:thumbsu:

If you look the word Kreuzer up in the dictionary you will get the following:

Kreuzer: 150% effort week in week out, never gives up, always does the CFC guernsey proud.

Kreuzers workrate is just enormous, and quite a few of his teammates could learn a thing or two from him - which is a little sad given that Humphrey is only in his second year. His second and third efforts are just extraordinary for a guy of 200cm. He's going to be a champ.

Thought Murphy worked his @rse off all night as well - and almost single-handedly worked our footy club back into the game in the second quarter - pity we just couldn't get any scoreboard pressure on Collingwood.

Kade Simpson continued his form from last week I thought, and ran all night.

Kreuz is a beast.

Didn't get any delivery whatsoever when he was forward last night, which was a pity. Will take a while for him to learn to play as a forward, and to work out how he and Fev can operate together... but he seems to have tons of upside. A fantastic competitor in a team that probably needs more of 'em :o.
