Meh inside mids always have bad disposal efficiency due to pressure. If he can keep it that high though we'll be laughing.

What a complete load of rubbish. Knowing when to stop talking is something Bigfooty posters need to know and put into action more often.

But the champion data rates him against AFL average for kicking efficiency from a contested possession and uncontested. Just to clear something up, saying that he is overrated does not mean he is not a good player. I wouldn't have him in the top 20 in the game let alone being the best in the comp like some are touting him to be at the end of the year, but he is still a good player.

Ok so who comes out? Did anyone in particular make us lose my 70 points? From what I saw the whole side didn't want it enough apart from Langdon and maybe Pendlebury..

Well Witts won't play Clarke is gone Goldsack will get dropped. It is going to be tough for the match committee, the biggest influence on us losing personal wise was no Reid and White. It gave us no targets up forward Cloke was always triple teamed. We could have put Reid behind the ball when they got on top.

I really don't see what's wrong with what he's saying.
There's no evidence to dispute otherwise as much as I wish there was even though there's like just a few sentences for quotes and isn't even his article but Jay Clark's.

Skimmed the article, but from what I can tell, Pert was asked how the Pies will go in the next 3 years, with him saying they expect finals and even a Premiership.
Lloyd said that, we'll most likely be going down before we come up, with the fact that we're playing a lot of kids atm. They didn't quote him saying 3 years, I think they just implied that since he was responding to what Pert was saying.
Not much to read into.

In three years guys like Scharenberg, Freeman, Adams, Grundy, Broomhead, Kennedy, Williams, Seedsman, Langdon, Fasolo, Thomas, Witts, Sinclair and Moore will all be very good players and just add to the likes of Pendlebury, Beams, Cloke, Reid, Sidebottom, Swan, Brown and Blair. To say we are going to drop and bottom out Lloyd has no clue

Fyfe is a gun. He has "matchwinner" written all over him. Not everybody has the kicking boots of Pendles or Ablett. Dangerfield is another example, as is Dane Swan.
As for Lloyd's comments, I don't know what they are in full context. But the idea that we will be going down before we move back up is something I agree with.
We have the top end talent, but we are lacking the second rung B/B+ consistent hardened players. Until guys like Oxley, Scharenberg, Keeffe, Langdon, Seedsman, Elliott, JT, Broomhead, Fasolo, Grundy, Witts, Freeman, Kennedy and Adams all get a good 50+ games into them, we won't challenge for a flag I think. We can speed up the process by buying a player like Frawley, but I can't see us contending until they are up to speed. Will we make finals? Maybe. Probably. I'd hope so. Maybe we'll jag a finals win or two, like 2007. But we will be in that lower part of the 8.
That said, the players I raffled off are all a good chance to make it at AFL and become very good with some having genuine star potential. So the future is very bright when it comes to the list.

I can't really disagree massively with what Lloyd said. Maybe some details around the edges, but i think his analysis was essentally sound.

And, I'd go so far as to say some of Lloyd's conclusions are agreed with internally.
If this is what a fairly innocuous spot from Lloyd can bring about then I think a dose of this may be needed to get through this season because I doubt this will be the last article critical of Collingwood for 2014, and there are far less objective than Lloyd.

The mods here are pretty good. Criticism is fine. Generally the response to criticism has been level-headed & discussed in a reasonable manner. Some posters suggest that a solution be put forward with the criticism to make it constructive, rather than criticism for criticism's sake.
Then there are those with a clear agenda. FFS we all hurt with a loss but it's easy to see those here who seem to enjoy misfortune. At least the tone of their posts suggest as much. They don't offer much to this Board rehashing the same old shit.
What's their solution? Bring back Mick? FFS he has been shown up for what he is. A few posters have gone a little quiet tonight. But, rest assured, if the cheats have a win & we lose, you can be sure they'll be back. Potting the club & offering nothing. & seemingly enjoying it.
I dont disagree with what you say in general, and maybe its just my drug loading getting to me, but I actually have no idea how what you wrote relates to what I wrote. We seem to be engaged in two different conversations even though you quoted me.

Absolute flog, on Footy Classified tonight he was bagging out the Pies saying our backline is not good enough and we are weak in the key posts. To summarise he said they have a very good midfield but we are weak at either end of the ground. He goes on to say look at there backline Ben Reid you just can't rely on his body and that leaves Frost and Marsh as our only two key defenders. Then he goes on to bag everyone's foot skills.
All I have to say to him is Lloydo once again your poorly researched opinion has made you look like a fool. Too say that behind Reid we only have Marsh and Frost is factually incorrect as you fail to mention Nathan Brown a man who is a premiership full back and finished top 10 in our BnF last year. Stupid statements like that destroy what little credibility you have
