Name me the kid he is keeping out of the side ?
Would you be doing any worse without him? I don't know your list, but I'm sure there is someone that can come an fill that role? Or do you have no one else capable of coming in an kicking one goal a game, or at least contesting. Pavlich was a champion player but he offers nothing anymore an has little to no versatility in his movement , he is tarnishing his own reputation by playing on because he's only getting worse. If your wafl team has no one capable of replacing him then you're worse of than previously thought.

Hahahahha, BF at its best :D

I honestly think he's playing and moving well this year.

Its just that he can't sustain it for 4 quarters.. nor should he or any other .. If we get 2 great quarters out of him, 1 quarter out of Mayne, Ballas, Fyfe, Tabs, Bennell, Etc........... Everything would be sweet. But he's not getting the support or SERVICE, which is our main problem... not to mention he takes the best defender or two..

Honestly the OP post is bullshit,; I mean, just because he shanked a couple of kicks??.....

fallen behind tredrea and brown, fast dropping to richardson and lowe levels. not that there's anything wrong with that.
Still will end up with a better career than that bloke at St Kilda that cried like a little girl, that's all that matters.

He isn't playing poorly.

So much this. The whole team is poor and he's probably been one of the few players who hasn't been. When the team looks shit the scapegoats become the fringe players and the players people think have played one season too many

And I agree about his form. He's a victim of the poor delivery from the midfield but he's been doing his bit. Without him drawing a defender, Tabs would be lost. Pav has clunked a few great marks and kicked the odd goal but he's there to help lead the forward line and help its development.

Leading tackler last night for us...
Seen all our games this year?....
And, we don't have many choices left. Apeness will come back when able too.

It wouldn't look so bad if he was up front supporting some young forwards like Roo is at St Kilda. As it is, Fremantle are facing a problem they should have addressed 5 or 6 years ago. Same with their rucks. No Sandi and who is there?

Some poor decisions by their backroom staff. I wonder if GWS will try and get Freo's certain high pick for McCarthy? Would lol.

He is getting terrible feeding from terrible midfielders, opposition clubs don't man up hard on Taberner as he's soft as goo so Pav cops a hard and usually double tag, and he's also about 34 and has been the focal point and main man of a struggling club for 15 years. He's also done this while travelling 10 hours a weekend twice a month; makes it easy for Boomer and Riewoldt at their ages. You know nothing about footy, numbnuts.

I don't even think he's playing that badly. What do you want from him..

Considering his age and miles on the clock, along with how his team is going, I don't think much more could be expected of him TBH.

Short of pulling the pin mid-season (don't really see what it achieves, unless he is genuinely hating playing footy right now), not really sure what he's meant to do.

He's going better than Petrie and probably half the leagues young key forward but yeah was poor against the Saints and obviously he doesn't have a lot to play for.

If he wants to finish the year then it doesn't hurt Freo in any way really. If Apeness and Taberner both look able to offer something at AFL level then he might be moved aside, but that seems unlikely.

It's up to Pav to pick his exit I think. 350 games might be a nice milestone to stop on.

If he wanted to call it quits next week against Essendon that wouldn't be a bad idea either.

For starters he could win a contest. Freo looked most dangerous when he wasn't involved in the play. There were times when you could see the midfielders actively go out of their way to avoid Pavlich. That's not what you want with your marquee forward.

Well, are the other healthy options going to provide anything better?

Just seems like some people can't come to terms with the fact that athletes decline at some stage. Yeah, he's not what he was, but I don't think that means he's got to just give up and step aside.
