I've always had this thought of him playing his last game of AFL in a GF, he takes a mark inside 50 on a slight angle and the siren ends the match, we are 3pts down.

Would he kick it or miss it?

Going back a few years he was hated by the neutral supporters, who would always give him crap and say we should get rid of him. Now there has been a remarkable turnaround and he is adored by all. Go Richo, play the another 3 seasons at HBF/Wing and crack 300 games

Don't think that was the case at all. I think people felt sorry for him playing in a side where the ball constantly missed his leads by 15 mtrs which led to him spitting the dummy. While it was funny seeing him spit the dummy it was the wrong thing to do for a senior player. Its the same with Fev at Carlton and sometimes in young teams having a negative player like that makes the young guys go into their shell a bit.

Top bloke and always fantastic to watch, pity he's been stuck in insipid Richmond teams. Would probably be up there with the greats if he was in a team that could deliver him the ball properly.

Carey was great, But Richo statistically is not that far behind. Infact leads Carey in Marks and equals him in Goals.

Richo again is up there in Marks again this year and leads the Contested marks again. Probably the best contested mark of his time.

Richo is easily my favourite player in the league (bad luck Buddy and Hodgey)

I've only been to a couple of non-hawthorn games in my life and they've all been Richmond games because I'm a huge fan of Richo. Sure, he has plenty of clangers and he cracks the sads sometimes, but the AFL would be poorer without his characterisms, his effort, his athleticism, and his DUKES!

I hope he can keep playing until Terry's 5 year plan come to fruition and the big guy gets a premiership!

There has been a bit of a change of heart from neutral supporters I agree. I think its that fact that when you look back at is career and realize how long he stayed at the one club despite the clubs adversities. The fact that he wins his first best and fairest in his upteenth season when he SHOULD be winding down.

Demands respect from footy fans.

As a neutral, I think I'd just smile to myself, switch off the tv as he was lining up to take the shot, and go and get drunk- its like the final scene of the Sopranos- choose your own ending, its how he got there which is important.

Mind you his greatest performance of recent times has to be his part in the Before the Game ad. Great stuff Richo!!

I reckon the Tigers will be alright this year. Hope he gets a chance to appear in finals at least before he calls it a day. When was the last time Richmond made the eight, 2001?

God, what I'd have given to have him at the Doggies - he'd fit in well with the tragi-comedy that is our club (not having one a flag in over 50 years). Imagine if he'd been at Hawthorn late 80s or West Coast at their best. OMFG.

Ah Richo, what a champion. Gotta be the most entertaining player going around. I find it sickening when the odd Richmond fan bags him, he could have left and had a better career at practically every single club, but he stayed loyal and bleeds yellow and black.

If that ever happened and he kicked the goal, I would jump from the top level of the G just to get onto the ground and give him a big wet one!
If he missed it you'd probly see me in tears talking about how much i love him.
