Was perusing the stats from Saturday's game in the Addy during my lunch break, and was amazed to see that not only did Matthew Scarlett lead the team with rebounds from defensive 50 with 8, he also led the side with entries inside 50 with 7. Sensational effort from the best full back in the competition. :thumbsu:

Apparently he didn't play in the second half at all. He better get AA.

He had 8 kicks in the 2nd half according to the stats in the addy.

Joel Selwood's stats for the game: 10 kicks, 5 marks, 9 handballs, 10 tackles, 3 score assists. Absolute gun!

Obviously I'm bias, but as an overall package, surely 14 of 16 coaches would take him as there FB. Should have a couple more AA's to his name, and most definately this year.

I will hunt some people down if he doesn't get the gig this year.

listening 2 sen the other night and couldnt help but laugh at the collingwood supporters that thought that big log presty is a better full back than scarlo!!!!! presty reminds me of that bloke that played 4 the dogs a few yrs back.....matthew croft, 2 useless footballers. scarlett is the best full back by a mile. no offence 2 barry, rutten, glass etc, but he is even a class above them i reckon.

all this and he just seems 2 b getting better and better, noticed him quite a bit on the weekend running thru the midfield.....is there anything the man cant do?!
 
Scarlett is just a sensational player and doesn't get near enough accolades from the press and commentary.
I know he gets rated highly and has been AA but he should be absolutely raved about.
Would be first picked in every other side every week.
 
He was pretty awesome on the weekend. The famount of times that he spoilt the ball, roved it when it hit the deck and then broke clear and ran down the guts before dishing off was astonishing. He is a dead st gun.
