Apparently he is not going anywhere, from a reliable poster.

my first impressions: smart, calm

would be more excited about him but don't think he will be at the club next year.

usually when a kid gets supported through multiple injuries they repay the faith and resign.

is he a restricted free agent and therefore can only go if we don't match the crows offer?
to be a free agent they have to have been on a list much longer than Shazza - so that's a no. Unless he signs a new contract his best chance of getting to Crows or Port is via trade. He could leave by going into the draft but loki04 (quoted) and posts after that indicate he's likely to stay at Pies.

Oh FFS are we really trying to judge this kid after 1 yes that is correct 1 game. This is crazy people. Many have already decided they know what his strengths and weaknesses are after one bloody game.
Get where you are coming from Ottoman but some of the concerns are expressed because you see a trend from his VFL games showing up again on Sat. It might be the same with say a Marsh if he came in this week and disposal was a problem. It would be a continuation of a weakness known from his VFL footy so reasonable to discuss.

With Shaz I admit to some worries but was overall relieved with how he went Sat because he settled in well. I am being a bit picky overall

Has he done an interview since his first game, any media exposure ? Still concerned we haven't signed him and it all seems to have gone quite from the club

If you were him would you sign this week?

He played well enough against the Demons to get a game for this week and we play the shitness of Carlton (yep I know we are currently shit too) so he has the opportunity to play another good game, maybe one that really stands out, thus upping his stocks.

He won't deflate his value from here (only by serious injury) so he really has nothing to lose.

Randoms on Big Footy of course. Never mind the people with actual real contacts who've said the opposite...
It's not even that. I mean regardless of the people who have inside info. Let's look at James aish, plenty of media talk, always in the paper. Then look at shaz, no one in media circles in talking about it.

I'm not saying he won't leave. But its far from decided he's going or at this time of the year it would be alot more prevalent in the media

Its an opinion. I dont want him to go i reckon hell be a top 10 player eventually. Has a lot of luke hodge about him. Wait till 3 years when he pushes into the midfield
Ive heard that his staying as well, but u never know what could happen in trade time.

The highlight of the day was when he was smashed with the ball but still maintained composure and was able to find the correct option by hand.

True - I thought he needed a couple more weeks in the 2s, was wrong
I still think we're playing before he's senior ready purely based on the amount of footy he's missed and the steady improvement we've seen in the VFL. That doesn't mean that he isn't able to play seniors and do reasonably well. Just that he'll be so much better with another preseason under his belt.

Jeez for a guy coming off an ACL he looked good at AFL level
Just wait till he gets some confidence in his body
Too bad i reckon hes off to Adelaide
I think he'll sign a 2 to 3 year contract with us, have doubts he'd be with us for 2 years, never have a proper pre-season, do an ACL, play a handful of senior games and leave.

Every other first up player has been subbed out at three quarter time by Buckley until yesterday. Scharenberg had about four different opponents including Watts which shows you the faith that Buckley had in Scharenberg's performance. There was nothing wrong with his kicking. For a first up player his decision making was that of a seasoned player. Tough gig when your first game is in a losing side. Forget the SC points. That was one of the most impressive debuts for a player in recent memory.
Was that a reflection of how well Scharenberg was going or how poorly Seedsman was playing though?
