Could Watson potentially play as a key forward? Would he be worth a risk at Pick 12 for Melbourne?

Most have us taking Watson at 18, and it all sounds like a match made in heaven and all. But I have some questions
1) Is it true that he could slide straight into AFL football, specifically CHB (which seems a bit of a black hole for us, especially if Waite stays forward), as some have stated? How similar is he to Hurley?
2) If his kicking is as good as people say, could he be the answer to our kick-in woes?
3) Why is McCarthy better for us, given he seems more a running player ala Bower?
4) Will fitness be an issue? And what are the chances he could turn into Tomahawk II?
5) With so much apparent upside, why the hell would no-one take him before 18?
Long term, CHB is the best spot for a big defender who isn't quick off the mark like Jamison, but has good repeat efforts on top of a footy brain. The Blues need Watson playing CHB or taking the bigger bodied forwards such as Koschitzke, Cloke, Tippett, Kennedy and the rest. Watson's repeat sprint was only fractionally slower than Brad Sheppard's, yet he would be ahead of Nathan Brown who took Nick Riewoldt.i certainly dont see him as a chb, and you could very well be on the money with regards to harleys position. i also wouldnt be suprised to see him play as a foward, either in the beggining or down the line. he isnt a natural foward but he has those traits that could see him be effective in a foward that line that gets good service from its midfielders.
