Matty Allan overtaking Hille

What do you guys reckon? Personally i think Allan has overshadowed Hille in the last few games,.Tonight his first half was exceptional and when hille came on he had little impact.

Clearly a better ruckman than Hille. Hille can only pinch hit in the ruck and play in the forward line IMO.

Agree. A lot of our improvement in the clearance department can be credited to Allan. They make a good combo but Hille still has a long way to go.

I guess we should try and turn Hille into a permenent CHF becasue both Laycock and Cartledge are going to be good ruckmen so he might loose his place. On the other hand some games last year proved to me how good he can be in the ruck eg the game against the bulldogs where he smashed Darcy.

i think he's gone backwards this year. perhaps he's not fully fit, or perhaps he's struggling because he's not the number 1 option these days. either way, allan is playing quite impressively.

i agree with ya but i recon hillies got alot more development as a footballer and as a ruckman, i think its important to remember that allens been playin footy his whole life and until the age of 16 hille never even picked up a footy - he was a volleyball player.

It was no co-incidence that Fremantle won more of the ball from the middle when Matty was rapleced with Hille in the middle.

Hille is struggling. Not winning out in the middle, and when he is pushed forward, he couldn't hit the side of a barn with his kicking.

IMO Allan taking over Hille as the Number 1 ruckman is a blessing in disguise. Stick Hille at CHF and get his kicking straight. Lucas is then free to play CHB. Problem Solved.
