Its kinda fact that hes one of the best FF in the game, if not the best running around at the moment. He has destroyed every team in teh AFL at some point in time and is the current Essendon captain. When he plays, Essendon wins. When he doesnt, they lose. He is a champion in his own right. I think you'll find most rate him. Tell me a supporter of another club doesnt care if Lloyd plays against them or not? Ill tell you, I think theyd prefer he doesnt.

Matty Lloyd sunk to new depths last night in the 3rd quarter. He pushed his own teammate into an oncoming Richmond player to milk a free kick. The Richmond player couldn't do too much about it and was payed a free kick against him. Some of you might say good play.

What has been quite evident over his career is that he is willing to forgo his own dignity to play for free kicks. But now he is resorting to sacrificing his own teammates welfare to get that free kick.

What would have been good is for his teammate to get knocked out and have 10 replaying it over and over. Certainly wouldn't wish that on an innocent player, but at least all his teammates and umpires will know what depths he goes to to get cheap free kicks.

The fact is that hes had ONE FREE KICK PER GAME this year. Thats a fair return. Not over the top at all!! I dont see others whinging about Jon Brown with 18 frees. TWICE that of Lloyd. But Lloyd is the cheat!?!?!? Even Richardson has had 12 frees! 25% more than LLoyd. Riewolds had his 15 free kicks. Dont see people whining about that.

Finally, no one whinging about Kerr with 30 free kicks this season and Judd with his 15? Didnt think so, theyre champions.

He's had 9 free kicks from the forward line. Btw, those calling him a cheat... its upto the UMPIRE to decide what's a free and what's not. As for diving, all forwards take a dive here and there... I hate it, but it's what happens. I will say this.... LLoyd hasnt dived HALF what Fevola has this season. Where's his thread?

Just admit it guys, Lloyd is a champion... in and out. When he plays, the team wins. Check the stats.

Anyone calling him a cheat is simply bitter. Harden the far.k up!

He will only be recognised as a true great by his own supporters, others can actually see right through him. He has no respect from the average supporter in the street, unlike other great full forwards, Lockett, Ablett and Dunstall, opposition supporters could see how good these guys were.

This is true he is a great FF no doubt and he is far to good he does no need to dive or play for free's. He is not the only one Fev and Robo are just as bad.

The bombers are so over rated and they beat the 16th best side by eight points which shows how crap Essendon really is. Don't make me laugh about the best since Lockett. Tony won games of football for St.Kilda and Sydney, I doubt that Lloyd has won a game for Essendon. He use to be a very good player now he is kicking about 3 goals a game and thats not good enough for Lloyd. He gets his quota of free kicks every game. So they make him look good.

We do not need to play all our young players now because we actually have some decent older players. Carlton have gone down the young player route because your older players were not performing.

Campo has barely played for us. The idea behind him is to help build our kids... not to be a force himself.

As for Michael, the reason we have him is the Bradley experiment has gone off the rails at the moment, so Ill take that one on board.

Do you realise you said "dont make me laugh about the best since Tony Locket" then went on to say how he isnt as good as Tony Locket.

I'm PRETTY sure nobody said he was better than Tony Locket, but the claim of best SINCE Tony Locket is statistically true.

As for his current form he has missed two games this season, and has a team mate who attracts an equal amount of the ball from his team mates (In Scotty Lucas) and still lies 5th in the goal kicking table.

Have you watched how many goals Lloyd has set up this year? Is a great team player but knows when HE SHOULD BE SELFISH. I mean when your one of the top ten goal kickers of all time you really should learn to trust your own kicking for goal, as Matty does.

As for the free kicks this thread has shown he has averaged ONE A GAME, which is less than most leading forwards.
