If they were giving away Essendon membership tickets I would not buy them as it is not a good return for my money. I hope you can get the money together to give Kevin another contract. That would be good for foottball. I really hope the bombers make the finals because I can see Essendon get there just deserts. Get cleaned up the teams like West Coast Eagles, Port Adelaide, Geelong and Collingwood. I like to see Matthew 'Diver' Lloyd play and see how many goals he gets with the good defences in the AFL at finals time

Which deserts would they be, the Sahara, Simpson, or others?

I bet everyone here that Matthew Lloyd never gets inducted into the
Hall Of Fame. Whereas Hird will likely end up in the Legends room. From
other clubs, Hall is a cert, and Neitz is almost a cert. Lloyd is sowing

That statement is plainly ridiculous. While it is arguable that he will be given a spot in the hall of fame, to say he WONT while Neitz and Hall are certain is foolish. Neitz and Hall are two great players, who may get inducted into the Hall of Fame, both probably have some adequate reasoning behind it.

I mean with Lloyd you will probably end up with a 250+ game player, Essendon Captain, All Australian 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, Coleman Medalist 2000, 2001, 2003, Leading Essendon Goal Kicker 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005,pre season premiership player 2000, premiership player 2000. To top this off he will probably finish his career the 5th-8th highest goal kicker of all time and i still believe has a decent chance to break 1000. He will be so close to it, i can see him going on just to get it.

He still has probably 3 years left in him. Is averaging 3.4 goals a game, only second to Fevola ( by .2), so probably still has a decent chance of a Coleman, albeit more likely that Fev will win it. That is with Lucas in the side. I think at the moment Fev is favourite, Lloyd is second favourite and Lucas is 4th favourite. I mean how often come round 10 are two players, in the same team in the top 4 favourites for a coleman medal?

Gee i hate Essendon as much as the next person but this thread is an absolute joke, sure he does the occasional dive, has a dopey voice and has a face you'd just like to kick the sh*t out of, but to question his football ability is just plain stupidity and reeks of envy, Facts don't lie, he is now closing on 800 goals, has been a terrific servant of the Essendon football club and will go down as one of their all time greats.

I'd like to see a stat of games won and lost with and without Lloyd to see just how important he has been for the Essendon FC

Lloyd's goalkicking stats are 791 goals 361 behinds, that's 68% accuracy.
Richo's stats are 712 goals 483 behinds, which is 59% accuracy.

Richo has had 43 more shots at goal over his career and scored 79 less goals than Lloyd, and 122 more behinds. I wonder how many more shots of Richo's also went out of bounds.

The reason why Lloyd is a champion of the game is because of his consistency and reliablility as a goalkicker. He has never had a drop in form over his career unless coming back from injury and never had any attitude problems that needed rectifying like Fevola. Even this year in which he arguably hasn't been fully fit, he is the only player to score 2 goals or more in every game he has played (he has played 2 games less than most so maybe this stat favours him a little).

You're missing the point, I'm saying that if Lloyd had the same supply as Richo has over his career (i.e. generally terrible), he wouldn't have the opportunity to kick nearly as many goals as he has. Essendon's midfield has only been maligned for a lack of pace, not skill level.

Since Long, Mercuri, Misiti, Bewick and Caracella left the footskills of our midfield has been crap. Only Hird's delivery has been conistently good during that time. We're just starting to fix that now.

Lloyd nearly kicked the ton in '04 in this time.

He is a champion player who is much more than just a lead, mark and kick FF.

You see here's the problem. Most of peeps on BF think they are football
experts. Lloyd is a champion and most peeps on BF are just jealous because he doesn't play for their team. It's a fact.

Maybe I am crazy or in another world if you are the success you claim to be, you should be on top of the ladder. As usual your team is not so good as you say.
