He has issues with this because whenever he goes for a contested ball he tends to drag it in before disposing of it, consequently he tends to give away a lot of frees this way. He needs to be able to either knock the ball to a team mate or handball the ball out without dragging it in (ie. pick the ball up and dish it out while it's in his outstretched hands). His ability to pick the ball up on the run is very good however, so if the ball is loose he is valuable, it's just the contested ball he needs to work on.
After seeing his improved goalkicking (hopefully he keeps kicking like that, I could tell he was going to kick it before the ball touched his boot), he needs to work on the contested ball aspect of his game and work a bit harder on the second efforts and he should be able to realise the potential that he has shown in only a few games so far.
