Not sure if Jolly has the personality to go on to be a great long term coach.Actually I would've said the best-case scenario would be he embraces the club, doesn't go on TV and we have a dual premiership ruckman as a longterm specialist coach for Hickey, Longer, Pierce and Grundy. On the playing side of it Weller comes out ahead (although he quite easily could've busted out), all factors considered it was certainly worth consideration the other way.
Seemed to be a little friction at all his clubs. And quite a lot of bitching about Collingwood after they let him go.
He seemed pretty happy to rubbish them after having a good run with them which included a 2nd flag.
Then I thought he came across as a bit of a flog on the block as well.
I dont know him personally so this is just an outsiders view but he seems to come across as a bit of a sook .
I could be wrong of course and he might be a really top bloke but im kind of glad we never signed him up.
But at the moment the most important thing is hoping that Jolly gets a clean bill of health from his recent operation.
He can all have opinions about him and joke about how his wife comes across on telly .
But they are a young family and mustve had some worrying times when he was diagnosed.
All the best for him in the future.
