Thankfully we drafted Renouf in last years draft. Many were critical of the decision but it was done to give us depth in case something like this happened!

ummm... last time that hawthorn were in the 8 at the end of round 22, carlton were placed higher than us. you're a sloppy unit.
there is not one time in the last FIFTEEN years that hawthorn have finished in the 8, and not been below carlton on the ladder. they could also perhaps remind us of what it's like to play in a grand final, considering they've suited up 3 times since we've last managed to make an appearance, including a flag victory. but no... we'd know much more about finals than a carlton supporter, hey.

DAMM! Fingers crossed Bailey is ok! His a future leader of the club and I was looking for him to really getting his hands on the ball more this year.

Lets hope Taylor and Renouf can step up if infact Bailey is out with a serious injury.

Not that that wasn't a nice rant, but does the fact that we have also been ordinary invalidate what he said?

Terrible news for Bailey and the club. Was pretty excited about watching his progress.

Respect goes both ways NGHawk - I know you weren't happy about the "final chances" comment (I thought it was pretty funny myself) but don't get drawn into petty little bitch sessions.

Gees man, take it easy.I think you've had too many coffee's today. At the end of the day, i was refering to the hawthorn team of today being in a greater possition of short and long term success. By the way, thanks for standing up for the carlton supporter who could'nt figgure out his own come back. You have used your vast and great amount of knowledge for the good of all mankind.

they finished 6 games ahead of us in 2004, but yes, they've been doing poorly. i'm a hawthorn fan, but i also really like it when people think about what they're saying before it tumbles out. flint's tongue-in-cheek comment was actually funny, and it flew about 15 miles over your head.

yup - flint didn't imply that carlton were any chance either, but NGHAWK tried to puff himself up based on things that are demonstrably false. those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

yup - flint didn't imply that carlton were any chance either, but NGHAWK tried to puff himself up based on things that are demonstrably false. those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

renouf now has a pretty compelling reason to get an extra run or gym workout in each week.

terrible news for max. however if the surgery and rehab go well, he's got enough months ahead of him to be absolutely flying by march 2008. rob campbell bounced back and answered his critics after a year off with a knee, and hopefully max can kick on in the same way.

Sorry for MB. Maybe a blessing in disguise, giving the likes of Renouf the chance to show us something special. It gives Max a chance to beef up and be a real standout for 08.
