A huge miss buy Hawthorn having this guy right under there noses

Saints 1st was ahead of ours and we couldnt trade up the MSD ladder. What are you saying we should have done?

If a Rookie doesnt sign a new contract with their club what happens in terms of how other clubs can recruit? Are they delisted or does a trade need to happen?

I.e. can we literally pick him up for nothing? Or will we see St Kilda demand a 1st round pick for a guy they got for chump change?

I gather he would be like any other out of contract player you would have to trade for them. Seeing st kilda gave him his opportunity you would hope he stays loyal . How long was he involved at box hill for?

Honestly would rather keep Hall then NWM such is how i rate his outlook. As long as he develops into a 20+ disposal player he will end up a jet. Goal kicking mid with elite disposal who does hit targets with inside 50s.

Hall and Tauru courtesy of Simon Dalrymples arrival have both been unreal finds.
I know you guys may have had some awful 1st rounders over the last decade but Tauru at pick 10 in a super draft isnt a find,

Hall on the otherhand very good mid season draftee

Not to mention Hall's next contract is unlikely to be more than $500k. NWM is a great player but the money being mentioned about him is simply insane.

I reckon you are underselling NWN massively. Would have him in the same talent bracket as Nick Daicos and Sam Darcy. The money being thrown around is absolutely justifiable.

You are not delusional at all.

Darcy - 3x R1 + upgrades should he leave
Nick - 3x R1 + upgrades
Your player 1x R1 + R2

Yeah he's a gun, but Darcy is the best young forward in the game (behind Thilthorpe), and Nick is probably the best player.

Comparing your excellent HBFr to these two is delusional.

Reckon Charlie Cameron might have still been rookie listed when traded to Brisbane. Didn't change anything

First time watching football I guess?

First time being called out for being the nonce you are being (on this topic, but likely more), I guess.

Tell me, which part specifically isn't (in your opinion) a statement of fact?

He is literally dragging his team over the line every week and the key reason why the Saints are pushing for a finals win this year.

Or, no single player in the game is really that important and any team spending a huge % of its cap on a tiny number of players is going to fail.

Which of the 2 sentences above rings true do you think ?

Dragging them all the way to the 15th. I'd imagine you meant well when that came to mind as some sort of genius you had to share with the world.

No.1 ranked player in the AFL for the month leading into this round, and the no.1 ranked “general forward” for the 6 weeks leading into this round.

Think he copped much closer attention this week, but still managed to kick 3 sausages (including a big launch from outside 50), from 15 possessions.

Will obviously cost us a whole lot more cap space than we would have expected, but hopefully we get it done ASAP.

He doesn’t really play like a traditional small forward though
Yeah the reason his scoring (fantasy/ranking points) is so good is because he’s pushing up to the stoppages and spending most of the game playing in the midfield, and pushing hard forward when we have the ball.
